The Centurions 2 Vana heaved a deep sigh before she waved her hand, in a blink of an eye, the unseen floating glistening cards made their appearance above her head. There are about hundreds, if not thousand above her. "Step away," Vana commanded. Geubert flinched before he tried to speak but, "Step. Away." The stern voice of Vana made him zip his mouth. "... Please take care," With a hesitant expression on his face, Soka turned his back. He glanced at Lady Vana's back. Her proud stance shows no signs of backing down. Regardless of how monstrous the enemy is in front of her. Vana eyed her opponent. Like her, her opponent too is wearing a mask – "This is not a mask if that is what you are thinking." Despite the opponent suddenly speaking, Vana's expression did not change. She remained impassive but openly observing her opponent, on the other hand, her opponent can see she is being observed intently and smirked. "That's rather rude. Looking at me like that, are you curious why I look like this?" Vana did not reply, she remained looking with a neutral expression on her face, neither interested nor uninterested. Vana's opponent possesses a distinct glass-like hair reaching her waist, because of her hair that looks transparent, her white scalp is visible, in terms of her face which Vana thought was masked, her eyes are dark blue with light blue eyeshadow, her cheeks are tinted light pink while her lips are exaggerated as if drawn for fun. "Eep, you're boring to talk to," Vana's opponent sighed, one second she was standing meters away in front of her, the next, she's gone. Vana calmly takes in her surrounding, when she did not find anything, a trace, or the possible location where her opponent may be, she looked back to where her opponent was standing. Her eyes squinted her eyes a little. Suddenly, one of the cards dashed towards her from her left, Vana effortlessly dodges the attack by stepping on her right side, when she thought it was over, another card appeared on her right, this time though, it fired what looked to be a toxic liquid. Vana applied force on her feet before she jumped to evade the attack. Her body flipped mid-air, above her raised feet appeared two cards, and both sides of her too. 'How troublesome,'  If only she could unleash her full power, this battle wouldn't have lasted this long. Sadly, she can't. The Mistress shall recover her full power for them to use their full power too. Well, even if she can't use her full power, if only they were allowed to use their current power but the Mistress would not allow it, according to her Mistress, their power is too abnormal for the people. As her loyal familiar, how could she – they – question the Mistress's orders? Her orders are absolute. To the four of them, the Mistress's words are law. Once the cards started firing their spells, Vana used [Phoenix's Cocoon]. Two fiery red feathers appeared on her side and then covered her body. At the same time, the card almost made contact with the feather covering her body, swirling fire suddenly lit up from the feather, the liquid attacks evaporated from the heat while the physical attacks simply melted. When Vana descended on the ground her spell deactivated, once freed from the spell, Vana was about to straighten her back when her opponent suddenly appeared in front of her but instead of being surprise or scared, Vana remained still while her opponent fired all her cards her way. "Die, little friend!" Vana did not react. Two meters before the cards hit her, the cards suddenly turned into ashes. Vana took a step back, after seeing this, her opponent shifted her foot as well and jumped back to keep their distance. 'She's quick.' Vana noticed. Unfortunately for her, she wasn't quick enough. When her opponent landed on the ground after jumping far from her, a red magic circle activated, then, from the magic circle rose glowing red light. When her opponent tried to bang her hands in the red light that served as the wall trapping her, Vana watches her opponent scream in pain while clasping her burnt hands. Vana silently walked towards her opponent, once she is in front of the pained glass-like haired lady, she spoke. "Who are you?" She asked. "..." "Why did you attack this city?" "..." "Who is your Master?" "..." "What is your goal?" "..." "... Rest in peace." Once she did not receive answers to her questions or response, Vana turned her back to her opponent. Behind her, inside the barrier made of red light from the barrier, fire rose beneath, it did not take five seconds for the fire to engulf the person trap inside. "Aaaaahhhhhhh!!" Vana did not look back, that thought did not even cross her mind. For her, those who threaten the place where her Mistress is deserved only one thing. To die by her flames. She is, after all, her Mistress' phoenix. Vana's red blank eyes stared at the sky above her. When the wind blew, it carried the ashes of the monsters whose days ended in her hands, then, she sighed. She sighed once more especially when she heard numerous explosions both in Alarkson and Kiera's direction. - The other four centurions momentarily stopped once they felt the connection between Ardie. Her peculiar magic involves using cards, and the four of them know how troublesome of an opponent Ardie is. Each of her cards possesses different types of magic that's why they could not believe that she died. 1st Centurion, Sodiyu, his magic is Blood Manipulation. He is known as the centurion because of his red eyes as red as blood. 2nd Centurion, Ardie, the card mage. She was a particular human with unknown origin known only to their master. Her hair which is like glass and her magic which is unknown to many were the reason why she was given the title of the Master of Plagues centurion. Sodiyu is assigned on the South while Ardie is on the East. They were given one order. To kill. Kill whoever blocks their way, kill the children, the wives, the elders, the disabled, the pregnant... kill everyone in Griselda regardless of who they are and what they are. They are here to kill. ... but now they lost one of theirs. "EH???" Kiera exclaimed when Sodiyu's magic energy suddenly skyrocketed. It was twice, no, three times stronger than before and as expected, his scope also widened, his control over the surrounding blood also became sharper. "Ack! Wai — wait!" But, as expected of her enemy, not one of her words reached him. Like growing trees, the blood around them rose and went to Sodiyu, using the abundant blood, he formed thousands of spears made of blood behind him. "Kuhahahaha! I don't know how one of you puny being were able to kill one of us but I will make sure that Ardie will be the first and last!!!" Kiera frowned while listening to Sodiyu's continuous banter. She thought he was a cool opponent, but with his nonstop banter right now she only grew annoyed. What she wants is to fight in a battle, a battle between them, one on one with both their lives at stake. For that battle, it needs to be serious, drawn-out, unstoppable... and no annoying dialogues! Pissed off because Sodiyu continued with his monologue, Kiera summoned two gigantic fists from the ground and without further ado dashed towards Sodiyu in a single leap. She appeared in front of the surprised Sodiyu, she raised her hand and punched the wits out of Sodiyu but instead of her own flesh, the gigantic fists she summoned hit Sodiyu at will. As her earth fist hits Sodiyu on the side, the latter tried to form a hardened blood as a barrier but because she was faster than him, the barrier he tried to make was incomplete, thus, he was hit on his side and was sent flying fifty meters from her. As he was sent flying, he rolled three times on the ground that created a crater on the ground, after rolling like a sushi, Sodiyu was able to stop himself from rolling further using blood magic. He created a curved barrier that not only stopped his acceleration but also supported his body as his body stopped. "Ough...!" Sodiyu coughed multiple times. He did not expect to be attacked in such a brute manner especially by a delicate-looking — when he looks back to Kiera, his mind changed. She was a beautiful woman but her expression clearly shows not an ounce of her blood is the word 'delicate' in it. Sodiyu gulped before he laughs. "Kuhaha – ough!" Kiera quirked her brows. Was he trying to act cool in front of her? Because if yes, it's not effective. She just wants this over and done with. 'Hmm,' Should she use her secret skill? But Sodiyu doesn't look like someone who deserves it. He was too talkative and roundabout. Not cool at all. 'Hmm,' Sodiyu smirked seeing how distracted the lady is. How foolish of her to take her attention elsewhere while she is in the middle of their fight. An obvious beginner's mistake. Sodiyu couldn't help but scoff. Just because she was able to hit him once she is acting as if she is heavens above him. How ridiculous! Annoyed because of how he was being underestimated, Sodiyu fired all of the blood spears in Kiera's direction. When the latter noticed what is approaching her, her eyes widen, he clearly caught signs of her flinching. Their eyes met, Sodiyu then smirked. "Die, puny weakling." He said, his voice enforced with magic for Kiera to hear. Her eyes widen more but it was too late for her to move. The thousand blood spears have already attacked her nonstop, splashes of blood soon covered where Kiera was standing. Sodiyu smirk even further. It was a guaranteed victory from the start. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. If only she wasn't an arrogant weakling she would have stood a chance against me. I thought she was strong..." he mumbled to himself while looking at the dust covering Kiera's position. He waited for the dust to dissipate so he could see how his spears penetrated and created holes around her body. Oh, how beautiful it would be! Sodiyu grinned in anticipation as he looked at the heavy smoke hindering his view. He waited for a little more but the smoke doesn’t seem to be disappearing. Sodiyu frowned ready to take a step forward when he felt his lower body being restrained. When Sodiyu looks down, his lower body is being held by gigantic hands tightly. “W-What— ” “Hays...” Sodiyu flinched when he heard the familiar voice behind him. Feeling the threatening presence behind him, Sodiyu tried wriggling his body, he even used his magic but none is working! Worse is that can’t control his magic properly! “I’m really pissed off, you know. Not only were you so talkative that I almost felt my ears fell off, but you also dared to call me weak.” Sodiyu’s body shivered as he felt her killing intent intensified. Kiera appeared in front of him instantly and without any warning, she effortlessly cut off his arms and legs! “Ack...!!!” Sodiyu tightly closed his eyes. She cut off his limps like nothing! Sodiyu felt... nothing. When he realized that nothing felt painful on his body, he opened his eyes only to see the amusement written all over her face. He realized what she did to him! She purposely directed and released her killing intent to him so he could its intensity and pathetically whimper! “How dare you —” “Don’t get the wrong idea,” Kiera cut whatever Sodiyu is about to say. “I don’t care whether you think this is humiliating on your part because that’s my purpose. I will torture you, humiliate you, break that ego of yours which grew because of countless lives you took.” She stepped forward with deadly eyes staring straight into Sodiyu’s. “Yes, you reek of blood, the cries of the people you killed still echoed in my ears. Even the land could not bear every steps that you take.” Sodiyu on the other hand froze. In front of him are eyes that do not belong to a human. It’s glowing a brown and green, he can almost see traces of trees reflecting on her eyes. Aside from her inhumane eyes, her magic energy is surging and attacking him mixed with her killing intent! Sodiyu’s eyes blurred. This is not what is supposed to happen! It was guaranteed! Their win was guaranteed! The puny citizen of this city is nothing but sacrifices for their great god! This is not what is suppose to happen!!! “For giving my Mistress a massive headache, I will judge you. For the lives you unfairly took, I will judge you.” Her glowing eyes intensified as she raised her hands and placed them on his head. Sodiyu could not see anything else but her glowing eyes. “You will be judge by the souls of the those who fell in your hands, Sodiyu... Centurion Sodiyu.” “Ack!!!!” How did she know who he was?! It was what he wanted to ask but before he can even speak, dark smoke appeared and covered his eyes, slowly, his visions were covered and through the lenses on her glowing eyes, Sodiyu watches how the countless hands covered his entire face. He was engulfed by death he mindlessly given those who crossed his path as he wished. Now, it turned back to him.
