Fifty-Three

The Centurions 4 Zindo scoffed while looking at the corpses of monsters scattered around. He had hoped they would last for twelve hours, by then, they would have completely taken over Griselda and have marked the citizens as sacrifices. Who would have thought that this city of ignorant humans is inhabited by monsters too? Zindo shook his head before he motioned his hand left and right while making his way towards the silver-haired woman who swept the monsters using her water magic. As he waved his hand around, the corpses that blocked his way moved to clear his path. He smirked upon seeing the beauty of the silver-haired woman in front of him. She is worth using as a toy, once he grows bored of her though she will be nothing but food for his beloved pets. On the other hand, Siren's expression did not change despite seeing the perverse expression of the man in front of her. His slimy green bowl cut hair covers the side of his face rather perfectly, two scars on both side of his cheeks resembles that of a cat's whisker. His slanted small eyes compliment his nose quite well; his pale skin stands out within the bloodied field. He looked mysterious and feels mysterious but Siren knew better. The wave of his magic energy is heavy, no matter how the man in front of her tried to hide his bloodlust, Siren can feel it clearly as if it was presented in front of her. She breathed softly. Eureka and the others are far away from them because the second Siren felt the shift of magic and the surroundings, she knew that she had to have the place to herself. "Greetings! I wonder if I can have a moment of your time?" His voice was slick... and perverse as well. He did not even try hiding how he licked his lower lips as he gazes at her. It made her skin crawl. Siren knew she has to end this soon, she won't last more than thirty minutes in front of this man. The way he looks at her simply drives her uncomfortable. "You may not, unfortunately." Siren replied curtly with a neutral expression on her face. Zindo's eyes slightly widen upon hearing her reply, then, he burst out laughing. Ah, ignorant humans really are shortsighted. "I see, so you think you're all that because of your magic power, is that it?" He asked while laughing. He scratches his head before he looked at her from head to toe. She is wearing a conservative dress unbefitting of where she is, it covers her skin from her knees, her shoulders, and even her neck. Zindo's lips curled into a hungry smirk. He knew that despite how conservative her clothes are, the curves on her body does not lie. "You humans sure are arrogant. Just because you're a little stronger than the others you act as if you're on top of the world. You need to be taught a lesson of what reality is like, don't let the blah blah blah..." Siren earnestly listened to his blabbing while hoping that he has something important to say but as time passed by she realized that in front of her is not a person but a quacking big-mouthed man. "— You look beautiful; it does not fit you to be in this kind of place. If I were your master, I'll show you something interesting instead, what do you say?" Siren's impassive face then turned into a gentle smile. 'Ah, there is still these types of men even now...' Siren thought before she walked slowly towards the man. The latter is obviously frozen in surprise, firstly because of the smile on her face, and secondly, she is not doing anything, she is not invoking a spell or preparing herself to attack, she is simply walking. Zindo smirked inwardly. His charm not only works for the monsters or beasts but it also works well with humans. Of course, who can reject the most outstanding monster tamer and summoner in this entire world? No one. Not even the proud woman in front of him. He met different types of women before and this type of woman is not the first time, but once they get the chance to be with him, in his arms, they completely change. And all of them did not notice that they were mere playthings for him and food for his pets. And this woman is no different. Zindo confidently met with the silver-haired woman with a proud smirk on his lips. "Now then, tell me what your name... is..." What he did not notice is the appearance of a raging wave behind the woman that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. 'Wha... what's that?!" It's not simply a wave of water behind her, what lies within the water is a blue gigantic serpent, its dark blue eyes glistened as he met its eye, Zindo felt himself froze from the pressure emitting from the serpent. No... that is not a serpent... He crossed paths with a creature that has the same appearance as the one in front of him now. Dangerous and intimidating, this being lives in the deepest part of the ocean, it remained a deep slumber, its magic power is unimaginable that researchers could only envision what this being truly is capable of since there have been rare chances of seeing this being. "L-Leviathan..." Zindo stuttered. It doesn't bother him how the woman is able to conjure an almost entire sea without casting anything, he's more interested in knowing why Leviatan is behind her! "Art thee the one who is't ang'r'd h'r?" "A-Ack...!" Zindo squealed upon hearing a deep voice in his head. It was an inhumanely deep voice! Zindo need not think twice about where the voice came from. He immediately dropped to his knee and bowed his head on the ground rashly he could feel his forehead forming a bump if it's not wounded. "I... I did not mean to! I'm sor-ryyyyy!!!" The sight of him kneeling is humiliating even for himself but he would kneel in front of Leviatan rather than incite its anger. Leviatan is a disaster himself, if he has Leviatan under him he wouldn't worry about wreaking havoc, but it's not the case! Leviatan is under someone else's order! Zindo gritted his teeth. So that's why that woman is so proud, she has Leviathan as her familiar. Arrogant, indeed. Even if he is powerful as a summoner and tamer, none of his current summons and tamed beasts can fight Leviathan even if he summons them all. He is aware of the large gap in power, no matter how much he hates that reality, it is the truth. However... he smirked on the inside. Zindo formed plans on how to take Leviathan from the lady, for now though, he has to live and to escape from his situation right now. If only those other three were alive he could have used them as baits for him to take Leviathan away using sealing magic since he has one scroll with him. Heh. He acquired numerous beasts and monsters that were already tamed and owned by stealing them, and Leviathan will not be an exception. Zindo set his mind to his new goal. Forget taking over Griselda, he will steal Leviathan from that lowly girl! "I doth not liketh what is running in thy headeth, human." Zindo's eyes widen, then he screamed when his head is suddenly attacked by a powerful pressure. Without knowing, his body moved on its own. He found himself walking towards the sea of water behind the silver-haired lady. When the Leviathan lowered its body to look at him, Zindo's body turned numb from fear. He tried moving his body but it wouldn't follow! He is unable to control his own body! Leviathan's glowing deep blue eyes rendered Zindo unable to think of anything else. His mind blanked. His mind clouded, what he can think of and see is the deepest color of blue... it was the ocean... oh, how Zindo would love to remain in that place... cold yet comfortable... such a peaceful place to be... Zindo's eyes closed as he immersed himself in the feeling, unknown to him, he was taken to the deepest part of Leviathan's home. Unknown to him, he is drowning. Drowning that he welcomed himself... Leviathan slowly disappeared after he bowed his head towards Siren. Before disappearing, Leviathan spoke... "Thee shalt payeth f'r thy disrespect towards the rul'r of the flote..." Siren did not bother looking back behind her. She simply let Leviathan do its job... Siren did not felt even an ounce of guilt from mercilessly killing off the man, even if her reason is simply because she was annoyed with him. She did not kill him because he was an enemy. His death was due to annoying her. Some may see Siren as a saint, a gentle soul but out of all the four of them, Siren is the most detached. It's an unspoken truth known amongst the three, Alarkson, Vana, and Kiera. It was understandable though. Siren is after all the goddess' closest confidant. Thus, Siren, just like the goddess is uncaring about a human's life. - - - - - To be continued...
