[Flaming Jinx]

A whirl of blue fire ascended from the ground then takes the form of small blue-winged species with one red horn, from only ten of them their numbers increase until there are almost thousands of them.

I raise my hand and pointed the target, on cue, the small blue-winged fire dashed unto the target life small rockets, the once silent tree burned unto crisp and turned to ash thirty seconds later.

That was the strength of a Divine level fire spell.

I turned to my right when I felt a light tap to see Siren carrying a tray full of snacks and juice. The tray is bigger than her that's why she's using magic to carry it.

"Thank you, Siren." I said smiling. I took some donuts, Siren's version, and as expected it tastes divine, the taste of Earth if I must say.

Siren along with my other familiar are outside the house here in Luxes, this side with a wide empty elevated ground became the training ground I also placed a barrier around here so the nearby places won't be affected whenever I train, I learned my lesson from recent training. I cut off the nearby trees using wind magic the first time I tried and it drove Aya mad, yeah, Aya. I received a long scroll of her sermon and although I'm wasn't listening to the sermon but rather just reading it, it didn't felt better.

"You've been importing with your elemental magic, Mistress. No human can match your magic." Alakrson complimented while on the side with Kiera and Vana.

"Really? I think it's because I had wonderful training partners." I replied pertaining about them. While training I ask them to spar with me using their own magic, obvious, Alarkson is an all-elemental dragon although his fire element is weaker than Vana who is a phoenix, Vana possesses eight colors of fire having different strengths, Siren possesses water and ice magic, it also includes her voice power, the one that all mermaids possess, the voice to allure and Kiera who possesses earth and sub-earth magic and also an ability to perceive soul which she once used during that big worm.

See? My familiars are overpowered than I am. They're my cheat!

"I also agree with that but I won't deny that Mistress is a talent this continent never had," Kiera said while Vana silently nodded her head.

I'm about to say something when I felt a sudden disturbance in the other world, not Pralea but the summoning plains.

I opened my palm to see that Crimson Cat and Shadow Jaguar are in each other's throats again.

What the heck is these two up to again?

"Trouble with them again, Mistress?" Asks Vana to which I just nodded my head. "Shall I settle them?" I shake my head.

"Let me do it this time." I said with a devilish smirk.

These two tamed beasts who act like untamed ones, let me teach you two a good lesson. My goodness, they make me want to regret taming them, I wonder if Elise and Blake will be fine having these wild beasts as their contracted beast?

To think that I thought these two will change after being tamed, gosh it was just wishful thinking.

*** Flashback ***

Not wasting time, I wander around while remaining alert. The forest is unusually quiet for a forest where magical beasts are residing, I wonder where that vibration came from? I expected to see a magical beast as soon as I step out of that open space and wandered further but now that it's been almost an hour since I'm wandering around here and there is still no sign of a certain magical beast I'm starting to have doubts. What the heck, how could there be not a single one of them here? Don't tell me I'm lost? Am I in the wrong dimension? Holy sheesh, is that even possible?

I swing my body to the right upon hearing a small rustling sound from that direction but I found none, the forest is once again silent as if this isn't a forest at all.

I can feel my sweat trickling down from my temple to my neck but I paid no mind as I heightened my senses, there are no sounds fifty kilometers from here but I'm sure that something just passed by on my life a while ago, I can't be wrong and it's too impossible that it was the wind because I did not felt any wind. It'd be too weird if that place alone is the only area where the wind blew and if it is really the case then it's more dangerous.

Something is here yet there is no sound at all.

A magical beast that can hide so well to the point that I cannot see them, there are only two possible reasons for this. Either that magical beast possesses a stealth type of magic or it's too fast for my eyes to catch.

Heh. I smirk thinking of both the possibility. If it's a stealth type of magic then I'd like to have my hand on that magical beast and if it's the latter then it's more awesome. A magical beast too fast for my naked eyes? You better hide well because I will catch you no matter what.

[Heavenly Eyes]

I activated this ability Aya once told me, it's similar to when she asked me to share my vision with her but this is considered a lower-tier since when we shared our eyes back then, not only did Aya's eyes amplified the magic energy and power that time but it also became something similar to having an X-ray vision, that ability is called Divine Eyes which sees everything, it's not an exaggeration to call it the 'Eyes of Truth'. It can see whether you're wounded, curse, healthy, or dying just from a glance, aside from that, Divine Eyes can also see a person's magic base without using your magic but by simply looking. It can uncover presences through aura, it can tell whether you’re lying or not. It’s really a cheat eye ability.

Although Heavenly Eyes is not X-ray-like, this ability can see magic energy more vividly and magic power too just like Divine Eyes. Although Divine Eyes is more powerful than this, Heavenly Eyes is useful nonetheless so I accepted it. Yes, accepted because I recently found out this gift is a gift from Aya she never told me about.

In this world full of magic, every single thing one does it involved magic that’s why even if the magical beast uses stealth magic that lets it hide its presence from me, using my Heavenly Eyes I trace the altered magic energy around the area, my eyes pinpointed the altered magic energy and tracked it.

Man, I knew it. I had hoped that this little magical beast will hide well but why did I catch it so easily? Heavenly Eyes sure is convenient. Thanks so much, Aya!

I hid my presence through a breathing technique I found on Luxes and also my magic energy by reducing it to a level similar to the surroundings. Summoning Plains is rich in magic, it's richer compared to Pralea but thinner in contrast to Luxes.

I watch as the black cat grew its claws similar to how Wolverine grew his claws too, dang, this kitty's claws are shining, shimmering and splendid too. I should observe first before I take action.

Damn. I'm glad I chose to observe first because this kitty's speed is something otherwordly, otherwordly in an otherwordly level here. Sheesh! Look at her, or him, whatever, look at this kitty go. This kitty walks in two legs and cuts the grasses, seriously, I can't figure out what this magical beast is doing. Is it throwing tantrums? How should I take this kitty? Tame or subdue?

Based on the magic energy it's emitting I don't think this one's a pushover. This seems to be a General-level more or less.

Suddenly its head turned in my direction, I thought it discovered my location when a dark figure jumped out of nowhere from behind my hiding place.

Modafaka! That shook me! I was too focus on this kitty that I disregarded my surroundings and relied on hiding skills too much– although it's really reliable still, that was careless of me. I better watch out next time.

"So you're here, Shadow Panther, meow."

What the heck! The kitty spoke! Based on its voice it’s a she-cat.

Right, magical beasts can speak especially the strong ones so I shouldn’t be this shocked but I can’t help it! My ordinary human side from Earth can’t help but shake because I’m seeing a talking cat! A scary one unlike Talking Tom and his friends.

The Shadow Panther, just as its name entails has the darkest purple fur, it’s almost black and stands around 5 feet and at least 5 inches in its full height, its eyes are purple with hind legs ready to pounce on the small kitty anytime soon.

“Crimleene, I see you’ve been destroying my territory...” Hissed the panther, from its voice it sounded male.

Crimleene, the one I’ve been calling kitty all this time, standing in its two legs, Crimleene is about 3 feet or so while her five shining and shimmering claws on both hands are around twelve inches long. She doesn’t look intimidated by the panther’s height at all.

Oho! One small cat and one big cat are on each other’s throats.

I hid myself well and checked my surroundings in case there are other magical beasts around but there’s none, I can’t feel other magic energy nearby. I wonder if it’s because these two’s magic energy are overwhelming my senses? They’re not concealing their magic power even by a little bit!

[Hidden Light]

An invisible barrier that mixed itself with the surrounding magic energy to block an intense magic energy pressure, a perfect spell for this situation.

I watch as the Crimleene cat vanished into thin air, oho, it’s using stealth! I activated Heavenly Eyes to track the Crimleene’s whereabouts because she could be beside me for all I know, luckily she isn’t, instead, I can see the altered magic energy the same size as the Crimleene behind the Shadow Panther while the panther remained on its place looking from left to right clearly alert.

Hmm, if I were the panther, knowing that my enemy uses stealth I would change my location so why isn’t this panther doing so?

Could he be... Heh!

Just as I thought, when the Crimleene jumped and swing both its claws, the Crimleene appeared at the same time it attacks while the Shadow Panther disappeared from its former location. The Shadow Panther is now five meters away from where he was while the ground has two claw slices and heck it’s deep from the looks of it.

My! This kitty sure is savage, she attacks without second thoughts while this panther is fearless. That’s why the panther did not move from its former location before the Crimleene attack was the panther knows the downside of the kitty’s stealth. Once Crimleene starts attacking using her claws, her stealth will undo and although her claw releases an invisible blade around three-meter long the panther is fast enough to evade them. Sheesh! I can’t help but grin watching the two of them.

Shadow Panther once again disappeared from where he is, it was fast to the point that it’s impossible for me to follow his tracks without the help of Heavenly Eyes. When he appeared, he’s mid-air above the Crimleene and when he snarled, purple colored tentacles appeared beneath the Crimleene and tied her on the ground. Just when I thought it’s game over for kitty, she swings her right hand to cut the tentacles on her left then used her left hand to cut the right, bent her upper body to cut the ones tying her feet then jumped away from the scope of the panther’s attack.

She did it within the length of five seconds! What the heck!

Crimleene meowed while the panther snarled then they engaged in close combat using their ability.

Holy shit... These two are perfect!

I sneaked carefully to approach them while watching their attacks to each other carefully, once they got close to each other for another close attack, I broke the stone I’m holding then a web appeared on top of the two, once they realized what will happen they tried to dash away from the scope of my falling web but there’s no way I’ll let them do that.

[Hymn of God of Light]

A barrier about the size of the web instantly appeared locking the two inside just as the web fell on top of them. The panther snarled while the Crimleene meowed angrily, they’re vicious but slowly the two are starting to calm down, no, more like losing their strength.

“Got you.” I jumped in front of them, grinning.

That Soul Draining Ground Worm’s web sure comes in handy. Enchanted to strengthen it and increase the weakening effect from thirty percent to fifty percent, it’s no wonder that the two are staying still while their eyes are glaring at me.

I chuckle. “Don’t look at me as if it’s my fault that you two are locked there.”

“Foolish human!” Snarled the panther.

“Arrogant! Ngyawr!” The Crimleene meowed.

“Now, now, why don’t you calm down first and listen to my—”

“IMPOSSIBLE!” They snarled in unison.

I frowned.

“You won’t?” I ask again but the two didn’t even answer me. Oho, isn’t this nice? They sure are stubborn huh.

At will, I slightly grip my hand at the same time the web strengthened around them.

The two snarled at me again and ordered, take note, ordered me to release the web. The guts of these two.

“I'd like to tame you two in a nice way but it seems I will have to tame you in a way the three of us wouldn’t want to,” I said while smiling. Just as I planned, if I can’t tame them the nice way, I’ll tame them with a bit of pressure.

Releasing my magic power from my magic base, I looked at them dead in each other’s eyes, out of nowhere, Alarkson, Vana, Siren, and Kiera appeared on my side.

I smiled. “Now, will you listen to me?”

I don’t know if I’m seeing this right but their eyes are wide and both of them are shaking while looking at me.

“The four of you may go back.” I said. I don’t know how these four appeared specifically but it seems to have something to do with being my familiar. I must have summoned them unconsciously.

“Yes, Mistress.” They answered and disappeared leaving a trace of their magic energy behind.

“We will listen! We will!” The two answered in unison.

Nice!

Once the two are settled, I started chanting the taming spell, yep; taming spell. To ensure that a magical beast is properly tamed and won’t attack humans, a spell should be chanted.

After taming them, I removed the web, it disappeared along with the barrier. The Shadow Panther and Crimleene cat are now still and calm.

I smiled. “Nice to meet you two, I’m Jozine.”

They bowed. “Hello, Master.”

Master huh. I haven’t even contracted them yet but they are now calling me ‘Master’. Oh well, I’m the one who tamed them so it’s understandable.

“You may stay here while I will fix who your Master will be.”

They look at me and nodded their head. I expected them to ask questions but they didn’t. I patted their heads, “Don’t worry. Your Masters will treat you kindly. I promise you two.”

The two reluctantly nodded their heads again.

Well, I got two General level magical beasts but this will be for Elise and Blake. If I try searching for another magical beast will I be able to? I had two already and high-level ones at that.

“Hmm,” I look around before nodding to myself. This is fine. I tamed two already and I think I’ve practiced my Summoning Magic fairly. If I won’t be able to summon one for myself then it’s...

Suddenly a violent wind blew above us and when I look up, my eyes widen at the view of what is slowly descending from the sky.

Its purple and white wings retracted to its side, a blue ore embedded on its forehead, purple fur. The ground shakes as it descended.

“Lady, please accept me as your beast.”

This... I don’t see its mouth moving but I can hear it!

“I offer my life to be your mount and protector. If danger finds you my life shall end first before any harm befalls you. I offer my life, my magic, and my freedom for you, please accept me as your magical beast.”

...oh.

A Winged Purple Lion, a Commander level magical beast, a one in a million magical beast known as the king of this forest is offering to be my magical beast, my summon.

“I... accept.” My mouth moved on its own while I watch the magical beast in awe.

How majestic he is.

Upon my acceptance, I felt a surge of power and warmth travel from all around my body to my magic base. From the tip of my nails to the last strand of my hair, it feels warm!

When I opened my eyes, the blue ore on its forehead now has a familiar marking on it, a summons marking.

“Your name...?” I ask while caressing his fur.

“Rou is my name, Master.” I nodded my head.

“I’m Jozine, take care of me from now on, Rou.”

“I will, Master.”

*** End of Flashback ***

I frown upon seeing the slashes on the ground. “What the hell are you two doing?!” I yelled angrily.

Shadow Panther, Ymar and Crimleene, Suzi both look at me surprised by my sudden arrival. These two... just as I expected, they are at each other’s throats again!

“Miss...!” They jumped away from each other and sat as if they are the most obedient beings in the entire world.

“It was this panther’s fault for provoking me, Miss!” Defended Suzi while glaring at Ymar.

Ymar on the other hand glared back. “How is my fault that I do not know how to lie?” He argued back.

“How is me, being an i***t the truth?” Suzi snapped back.

“How is it not a lie?” Ymar retorted.

The next they are at each other’s throat again. Every. Time.

“Rou...” I called my Summon. Behind me a magic circle appeared mid-air and from there exited Rou, my summon. The two stilled as soon as they felt his presence and stayed still.

“Master,” he greeted. I tap his head lightly before I turned to the two of them.

“Now that you’re here, I’d like to ask you to keep an eye on these two until I finish dealing with the matters outside.” I glance at Rou, “will you be fine?” I ask.

Rou nods his head while keeping his eyes on the two. “I shall do as Master asks me to.”

Right. Another formal-speaker added to the group. I did not wonder why Alarkson likes Rou very much, he treats him as his younger brother. I’m glad my Summon now feels at ease and used to the presence of the legendary mythical beings. I can still remember how shaken he was.

I returned to Luxes where my familiars are. “Is it ready?” I ask, Vana nodded his head in return.

“Thank you so much, you guys!” I thanked tapping each of their head one by one, except Siren, I had to use my index finger to tap her small head lightly.

After settling what I need in Luxes I transported back to my room, just as I expected, Eufema, Elise and Blake are already outside waiting for me.

“Elise and Eufema will stay here while Blake and I are leaving,” I ordered after locking the door.

“Yes, my lady.”

“As you wish, Jozine.”

Blake and I left the mansion then went to the inn where we changed after meeting Duke Franklin and changed to our disguise.

The black faceless mask, black cloak, and finally, I placed the Mirage Ring on my middle finger.

This is the complete Mirage Set, it composes of the black mask that changes one's voice and can be worn and removed by the owner’s will, this black cloak which conceals a person’s magic power, and finally, the ring which changes a person’s physical appearance. This changes how I look at will, I choose to appear as a man. When these three are worn the protective spell activates which has a nine-layer defensive barrier that absorbs the attack and replicates it while increasing the strength of the attack into two.

If this treasure is not worn then this will rot in Luxes or will be eaten by Alarkson. Speaking of which, I have to warn him again not to eat the treasures anymore. That gluttonous dragon!

“Let’s go, Blake.”

The residence of the Marquis is located in the northern part of the city occupying the biggest land overseeing the city, he is after all the Lord of this city that’s why his residence held prominence to show his standing.

The huge gate opened after the knights confirmed that inside the carriage is indeed the visitor of the Marquis, aside from that Duke Franklin handed us one of his family’s symbol so these knights wouldn’t dare to offend whoever is inside this carriage.

Convenient huh.

It took us another ten minutes to finally reach the Marquis’ mansion and as expected it’s huge.

Upon entering, the butler ushered us to the spacious living room where Duke Franklin along with his personal butler and the Marquis is sitting.

“Young Master Istorya! You are here at last.” Greeted Duke.

Beneath the mask, a small smirk formed on my lips. Indeed, I’m here... finally.
