Chapter 12 I hear my name called from the front of the tent. I refuse to jump up and run to get my mail. I hesitate because I don’t want anyone to know, including myself, that I’m as giddy as a kid on Christmas morning. I’ve never received much mail while deployed. My mother has written and sent care packages occasionally but nothing that came every couple of weeks. Then again, I can’t really compare my mother to Sparrow. That is just disturbing. I never felt this kind of excitement when my mother wrote.
