Chapter 16
The night lights up with the flashes of gunfire and blazes of explosions. My team and I are hiding in an abandoned building. Well, not really hiding, more like using it for cover. We have been on the tail of our prey for over three months. This is the closest we’ve actually been to the cell, and they’re beginning to grow more aggressive.
We’ve managed to rendezvous for supplies in the dead of night, but it’s dangerous as hell. Fact of the matter, we can’t go back. We’ve got pressure from behind us as well as in front. My CO informed me via radio they’ve sent out the second special operations team, and they’re headed our way in hopes of taking out the group that’s on our asses. Now, we’re playing a waiting game.
