Oh my! Only five minutes left. I really shouldn't have gone to talk to the house owner just now. I do hope I can make it to work on time.
Oh, dear Lord, just this once, please help me. I was running so fast that all the guards outside the mansion were looking at me with amused expressions. I then glanced at my watch.
Oh no! Just two minutes left. I entered the house and heaved a sigh of relief when I reached the living room."FINALLY!" I exclaimed. A triumphant smile spread across my face. I was breathing heavily. Then I looked ahead only to see two pairs of eyes staring at me as if thinking,"Are you nuts?" Oh dear! He's home. But why is he here? He should be in his office at this time.
"Hello to both of you." I said, still panting. Mr. Wilson just shook his head, and Ben looked away from me to his dear daddy. Mr. Wilson then got up from his seat, picked up Ben in his arms, and came over to stand in front of me. He then looked at his watch.
"I'm on time. You can't fire me." I defended myself without waiting for him to say anything.
"I can see that. But do you always rush into your workplace like this?"
"Rush in?"
"Oh, actually, I was running late, so I came running. And then I saw the door open, so I came in. I'm sorry." I said, looking down.
"Maria." He called. Maria came out of the kitchen and stood beside me. He then put Ben down from his arms. Then he stood there with his hands in his pockets."I hope you've already met Miss Adams."
Maria nodded.
Then he started giving her some instructions. That's when I got the chance to look at him.
Man, he is incredibly hot. Those sea-colored eyes could make anyone get lost in them. Then looking down to his nose, it's so perfect. His lips are so pink. No, Lily, stop. Naughty thoughts, shoo shoo.
I don't remember anything about that night. Whether I kissed him or not. Okay, I know. I know. I'm such a p*****t. I started thinking how it would feel if he kissed me right now. Like pulling me by my waist in front of everyone standing here, then our lips connecting. Our lips moving slowly against each other. His hold on my waist tightening, pulling me closer to him. My hands roaming all over his broad back. His hands—
'Lily." A familiar voice broke my imagination. I looked beside me to see Maria calling me and signaling me to face Mr. Wilson. I turned to him to see him sigh.
"Huh?" I asked in confusion.
"Stop daydreaming. I don't like it." He said in an irritated tone.
"Sorry."
I really need to stop having these dirty thoughts. For heaven's sake, he has a kid.
But he's single.
No. No. No. Stop. I need to stop listening to Lucy.
"Take care of him. I'll be leaving."
I nodded. He then knelt down in front of Ben and kissed his forehead.
"Dad will be back soon. Take care."
Ben nodded like an obedient child.
Aww. He's so adorable.
Then Mr. Wilson started making his way towards the exit. Suddenly, a thought popped into my mind.
I need to ask him about it. Or I'll keep thinking about it.
"WAIT!" I shouted. He stopped.
The maids who were cleaning the house stopped and looked at me. Ben and Maria also looked at me with wide eyes. I slapped my mouth with my hand. Mr. Wilson turned around with furrowed brows.
What am I going to do with myself? Who shouts at their boss like that?
"Umm.. sorry." I said with a nervous laugh."Actually, I wanted to ask something."
"What?" he said rudely.
'Can we talk in private please?"
"No. We can't. Just say it." Again, rudely.
"You don't understand. It's a private matter. I won't take long."
"No, Miss Adams. You can say it here."
"But—"
"Will you make it quick? I don't have all day for you."
"Mr. Wilson it's a private—"
"Miss Adams say it."
Fine, if he wants me to ask him in front of everyone.
"Did we have s*x that night?" I asked. Finally!
His eyes widened. He stared at me in disbelief. All the maids and Maria, who were looking at me a moment ago with shocked expressions, now turned their eyes to Mr. Wilson. Ben also turned to Mr. Wilson with a confused look. Waiting for his answer. He looked at everyone's faces and then back at mine with a clenched jaw.
I gave him an innocent smile.
I warned him, but he didn't listen.
I can see that he was trying to control his anger. Then he finally said,"No, Miss Adams. We didn't have s*x that night."
Oh my goodness! That means I am still a virgin.
Yes!
Yes!
Yes!
Yes!
"OH MY GOD! YASSSSSs!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. He closed his eyes in irritation. I picked up Ben who was standing next to me and twirled with him."Did you hear that? We didn't have s*x that night. Jesus! I can't believe it till now. Yes!!"
I said to him while twirling with him.
As if he understands everything.
Then when the room fell silent, I came back to my senses.
Oh dear!
I then cleared my throat and put Ben down and stood straight looking at Mr. Wilson. He glared at me. I immediately looked down. Then he left without saying anything.
I giggled.
Ben eyed me suspiciously. I looked away, ignoring all the looks he was giving me. He then ran back to his room.
I love you, Jesus. Thank you so much. I am still a virgin.
Wait. That means he didn't kiss me that night.
I don't know why but it made me feel a bit sad. But why? I shrugged off all my thoughts and went to Ben's room and saw him sitting on his bed lost in deep thought.
What is he thinking?
I went to him and sat beside him.
"Hey, I know we've met earlier too, but let's introduce ourselves again and start fresh. Maybe we can be friends."
He looked at me.
Come on, baby. Keep going. You're doing well.
"Umm.. do you like cookies?" I asked.
He kept staring at me. Then I took out a box in which Lucy had put some cookies for me and gave it to him.
He stared at those cookies for a while then said,"Thank you, Miss Adams. But Dad said not to take anything from strangers."
Stranger? Me? Did he just call me a stranger?
"I am not a stranger. I am your babysitter. You can take these."
He shook his head.
Daddy's boy.
"Okay if you don't want. I'll just have them." I then took a bite and moaned."Mmm... this is so good."
He again looked at me then the cookies."Let me tell you my Lucy makes the world's best cookies. It's your loss if you reject them."
He then got down from the bed and ran out of the room.
Why can't he just talk? He has such an angelic voice still.
I hate stubborn kids!
Anyway, I should enjoy my cookies if he doesn't want them. I took another bite."Mmm... Lucy you are the best."
The whole day I went on exploring the house. This made one thing clear that this house is amazing. Each and every corner of this house screams wealth.
But there is this one place I just love in the whole house and that is the rooftop, with a swimming pool and the best view.
It was already 7 and I was about to leave when I noticed a room.
What's in there? Mr. Wilson's room is upstairs and his office is that way. I don't think this room is anywhere related to Mr. Wilson.
Curiosity got the better of me and I couldn't control myself anymore. I went towards the room and knocked a few times but when no reply came from the other side. I turned the knob and was about to open the door when a voice came from behind me.
"Curiosity killed the cat, Miss Adams."
My body stiffened. Slowly I turned around just to see Mr. Wilson standing in front of me with his hands in his trouser pockets. I bit my lip. I thought he would be angry but when I looked at him. His face showed no emotion. He then started walking towards me and I moved back. This continued until my back hit the door. Then he placed his one hand on my side."What was rule number three, Miss Adams." His face was extremely close to mine and my breath hitched. I couldn't answer his question. Why? Because I was more focused on the distance between us.
'I asked you something, Miss Adams." He said again.
"T-That t-there a-are prohibited areas i-in the house where I shouldn't go."
"It seems like you remember the rules. This room is one of those prohibited areas. So from next time think before you put yourself into trouble."
I just stared at his eyes. I was lost in those pair of sea-colored eyes. No other guy has ever affected me this much as Mr. Wilson. I get nervous around him. I don't know what this feeling is but this feeling is different. A feeling that I have never felt for anyone.
"Understood?" he said again.
I nodded."Yes."
"Good." Then he finally moved back when he realized the closeness between us. He cleared his throat and said,"I think you should leave, Miss Adams."
I nodded.
"Be on time tomorrow."
Tomorrow? Oh no! I forgot I have the house shifting to do.
By the way, tomorrow is Sunday. It's my day off.
"Umm... Mr. Wilson it's Sunday tomorrow. It's my day off."
He looked at me with furrowed brows then nodded signaling me to leave. I was about to leave when a question came to my mind.
Not again.
It's a serious one this time.
"Mr. Wilson I just wanted to ask something."
He nodded as if telling me to continue.
"Umm... I know it's none of my business but can you please tell me why is Ben like this."
"Like what?" he asked in confusion.
"Like he is always alone. No friends, nothing. I have tried many times to talk to him but he just answers my questions that too with a nod or more than that 'No Miss Adams' and 'Thank you Miss Adams. And sorry to complain, Mr. Wilson but you have taught him some really bad manners."
He raised his brows.
I continued,"Today I offered him cookies but he said that 'Thank you Miss Adams but Dad has said not to take anything from strangers." I mimicked the way Ben said that.
"So what's wrong in that?" he asked.
"What's wrong? Everything is wrong. I am not a stranger. I am his babysitter and he could've eaten those cookies and I know he wanted to eat them but because you taught him that, he didn't accept the cookie and ran out of the room. You should've told him that I am no stranger.
He rolled his eyes and said,"Okay, I'll tell him now that you are no stranger. Anything else?"
"Yeah, why is he so quiet?"
"I don't know. He is happy when I am around. And Miss Adams these things are not for you to worry about. I very well know how to take care of my child. You can leave now." He then looked at his watch and said,"My driver will be dropping you. It's pretty late."
"No, it's fine I can manage."
"I wasn't asking. He will drop you."
I sighed and nodded.
He then went upstairs leaving me downstairs.
Rude!
Arrogant!
Jerk!
