AFTER a while, when our emotions finally calmed down a little, Lizzy told me what she has been up to for the past two years. I was happily surprised when she told me she got married last year. Not only that but she is also one month pregnant.
“I resigned from my job when I learned we are expecting. Can you believe that? I never thought I will be the domesticated type but I am enjoying being a full-time housewife,” Lizzy laughed.
“Life is full of surprises. When we were young, we plan our lives based on what we want. Our plan is supposed to be our roadmap for the future. But what I learned when we became adults is that most often than not, life throws us with challenges we never expected, ruining the plans we made for ourselves,” I told her.
