MY FATHER and Adriana decided to open Mon Amour the next day. I came back to work at the boutique too. I got scolded for the unexpected sick leave but thankfully, the owner didn’t fire me.
It was actually unsettling that my life went back to normal so easily, as if the past days didn’t happen. Maybe this sense of discomfort was the reason why I keep on thinking about what Bella said regarding that intruder looking familiar. I also find it strange that they caught him easily and that he admitted to his crimes without hesitation. He run away from us when we caught him in front of my apartment. If he really wanted to just get noticed by me, why must he run away and then continue to lurk around until he got caught by the police?
