The next morning, while everybody was having breakfast, Nicola moved the fishbowl to Iris's room. She carefully placed it on the bedside table next to the lamp and stepped back to look at it. Nicola sighed satisfied, then picked a stuffed toy up off the floor, put it on the bed, and left the room. Once downstairs, she entered the kitchen and noticed Albert was not sitting at the table with everybody else. “Where is our chef?” “Out. Last-minute shopping,” Blake answered. “Sit down and have some breakfast,” he added, then got up and pulled a chair for her. “Thank you so much, love,” she said, smiling sweetly.
