The Adventurer Guild

While going out of the palace Blake asks one of the guards if he could pee somewhere . The guard tells him to go to the public bath and gives him the directions hearing which Blake hurries towards it . Blake was relieved that in that popluated place at least bath and sanitation won't be an issue .He goes straight to the adventurer guild and asks the receptionist to register him as an adventurer. She asks him the class he wants to register as, and several other questions regarding his identity and previous experience. He tells her that he is the guy who was brought before the king termed as cannibal and he would like to become a guardian, he also tells her that he lost his previous memories and doesn't remember anything since he didn't have any answers to her questions. The receptionist was aware of the news regarding the capture of a cannibal and got afraid of him, she called out her colleagues and soon there was a commotion, although Blake tried to calm her but to no avail. The people in guild got cautious of him and surrounded him, but the guild master came and asked them to relax, he told the receptionist to proceed with the formalities and that he will supervise the test himself . Blake was unable to catch up with all this proceedings, specifically with the test part.

The receptionist asked his name and after he told, wrote it on the application form. Just then Blake asked her to correct the spelling and every one got surprised that he could read, he told them that he can write as well to their surprise. He was told that people who can read and write are not common there, to his amazement and they apply for high post jobs so it's possible that he might be from a noble family . In his mind he laughed at the conclusions they brought out .

Since he didn't have any shield he was given a wooden shield and asked to prepare for the test. The receptionist explained that he will have to defeat a wild wolf, the guild master asked him if wants another weapon and if he is really willing to take the test. Blake was very nervous and didn't know what to do or say, he just answered that he is fine. He was lead to the arena, where he stood holding a shield. He saw a huge wolf being released, he was frozen with fear , he was frightened to death, all he he could think was to run away but , a lot of people were watching him and if he fails he doesn't know of any other way to earn money and the embarrassment would be an added bonus so he resolved to face it.

The wolf seemed frightening and howled as it came closer, Blake's adrenaline started pumping and he looking into the wolf's eyes . The wolf rushed towards him , Blake instinctively yelled and furiously hit the wolf with his shield but the wolf's power was overwhelming. After a lot struggle the wolf overpowered him , the beastmaster came and stopped the wolf before the animal can kill the examinee . Feeling humiliated Blake thanked the receptionist & the guild master, and hurried out of the guild.
