A group of well-dressed boys and girls surrounded Ruby, one of them pointing at her clothes and laughing loudly. The others quickly joined in, their amusement evident. Kelly shot the girl a look of approval.
"Did you pick that bag and suitcase out of a dumpster too? What's inside?" Cole sneered as he reached for Ruby's bag.
Ruby's face burned with humiliation. She clutched her bag and suitcase handle tightly, her body trembling slightly. She recognized Cole—one of Bill's lackeys. Among those jeering at her were several Kingston University elites.
