*Chapter three* Dave's POV I couldn't think. I drove faster ignoring the traffic light. Jeanine. I took a sharp turn to the Hospital that was given to me. Jeanine. Please, hang on. I stepped on the brake coming to a halt right in front of the hospital. Why had this happened to such a gentle soul. I raced in,ignoring the reporters that aligned outside. It was an absolute shock to me when I got a call from the Hospital saying my wife had been in a fatal accident, causing a terrible accident with other vehicles. It made the news, apparently there were many casualties or deaths. Just one will do though. I said ulmost unnoticeable. "Excuse me,my wife? How is she?Where is she?" Questioning the nurse at the reception. "Calm down sir, what's her name?" "Jeanine Anderson" I watched her with impatience, going through the list slowly she replied. "Ward B,room 03" Sparing her not another glance I ran to the Ward. I had to know, the condition of Jeanine. My dear wife. Ward B... There. Room 03. I sought the room, there. I moved closer, only to find a teary Emma with the Doctor. "What's wrong Emma?Where's Jeanine?" I asked, waited for the worst to be said. "Emma, where's my wife?" Emma's watery eyes finally broke, giving passage to her tears. "Dave...Jean...She's..." She stuttered, making me more anxious than ever. "Doctor, my wife?" Ignoring her,my gaze focused on the Doctor before me.     "Mr Anderson, your wife was in a ghastly car accident, her whole body was caught in the flame. I'm sorry but there was nothing we could do." What on earth was he saying. "Doctor what do you mean?" "She didn't survive it.We lost her." He said more clearly. I was struck down. My whole being was paralyzed, I couldn't still process what I was told. Jeanine is gone. She's gone. She's dead. "No...NO,not Jeanine" I cried, "My unborn child, no...come back" It crushed me,this wasn't happening. I yelled in agony, receiving comfort from a sobbing Emma. My life was over. She was gone. Every emotion crowded my heart. I cried my heart out relieving them out. I needed to do this, to set those bottled up emotions free. And this is the only way. I didn't fret,i gave my all to my pain, ignoring the stares but never letting go of the sympathy. I live for it,because she was dead.           ------------------------------------------------   He dashed into the ward, clutching a little girl in his hands. Asher Reed could be anything but impatient. He followed the nurse's words to the Operating theatre waiting with his child outside the Ward, calmly but his mind restless, going insane. He stared at the little girl who seemed to be relaxed, considering the situation. As if on cue she looked at him with similar emerald green eyes. She was rather strong but he knew skylar,he knew his princess to well. If anything bad happened to her mother she was as well doomed, considering her health condition. Asher looked around, scanning the area for Carrie, Skylar's nanny. She was supposed to be here by now. Asher could be a crude and ruthless businessman but he knew better hospitals wasn't for children especially at a time like this. He could hear the croaking sound of Carrie's shoes approaching. Carrie was a young blonde but unfortunately she had a body of an aged lady. She ran over, settling at Skylar's side. "Sorry I'm late Sir. How's Madame?" "No news yet. She's still in surgery. " He gave his daughter another look. He knew the gaze she was shooting at him. He had to admit for a five year old. Skylar was rather quite stubborn and daring. Some qualities she had inherited from him besides those emerald green eyes. "Dad,I'm not leaving mum." She was firm.     "Sky.." Asher continued with her nickname. "You shouldn't be here. Go home and when mummy wakes up,I'll tell Carrie to bring you alright." If it were any other day Skylar would have thrown a fit but she gave an understanding look, before standing. It was then he noticed the lack of color on her cheeks,Asher turned her around to face him, meeting with the teary sad eyes of his princess. "Dad,mummy will be fine, right? She'll wake up right? Mummy won't end up like Olivia's mum right?" Asher was dumbfounded, he too didn't know. But for Skylar's sake,he would believe she would wake up. "Princess your mum will be fine, she won't end up like Olivia's mum. I promise." He assured her, deeply doubting his own words. Nat. wouldn't end up like Olivia's mum,who went to a happy place as children would say. He didn't believe in those things but for Skylar's sake,he could promise the impossible. She was his priceless jewel. His life. The only good his entire existence achieved in this lifetime. He signaled up at Carrie to take his princess home,he would wait till the mother of his princess woke up. The Theater doors opened revealing the Doctor dressed in blue up and down. "Mr Reed?" "Yes Doctor, how is my wife? How's Natalie?" The Doctor gave a long stare. "I have good news and bad news. Which do you want to hear first?" Asher heart shrank a bit. It wavered between fear and uncertainty. "Good news Doctor"
