Detective Dickson 5 : Existential Pandemic

The enemy within

A blue whitish light appears, Sarah arrives back in the room where d**k and Lefinna still laid on the ground, as she looked at that unconscious body, it had been inappropriate for her as she battled the angel half naked, she hadn't really thought about what she was wearing much during the battle but as she was in her room, memories of it flood her head though she still felt really dizzy, the entire room was in a mess but for some reason, it didn't wake up her daughter or son but she felt so tired, syncing with Tommy, Alucard, Katharina and Redoulp's wavelength at first put a huge toll on her body before later amassing her husband and Leffy's capabilities, she fainted on the bed.

A few minutes earlier

Shylock was standing and he looked very alert, he was waiting for Anna to be done with her hunting, though Alucard forbade his daughter, Anna still did things of her own free will and unfortunately for him, he still very much liked her even though they had broken up, Anna well aware of that used it to manipulate him to betray her father's orders

"We have to be going soon" Shylock begins as quite and audible as he could

"We don't want your father suspecting you are out late."

Anna was riding on a unicorn, she was holding her quiver of arrows and a bow as she shot repeatedly at Dragzts (Dragzts were creatures about eight feet tall with red glowing skim and sharp claws with dangerous teeth, the remaining part of their body was similar to a human except their legs which really resembled a goat, they had three horns and their eyes shone green in the dark) she lands a few hits but the Dragzts take initiative as they charge towards her.

"Ooh, are you still scared of my father, afraid he's gonna send you to Irinova again" Anna smiles as she leaps off her unicorn, a sword materializing in her right arm.

"It's not just about that but that's mostly it" Shylock says uncomfortably as he keeps looking about, fear evident on his face.

"And what's the other reason" Anna smiles as she blitzes the head off dozens of the creatures causing their bodies to fall flat to the ground.

"It's not important" Shylock starts

"I just don't want to see you get hurt."

"I think somewhere there, you are saying you love me" Anna smiles as she inserts the sword in a Dragzt's chest, it appeared to be the last one as the field was decorated with lifeless bodies of the creatures, they didn't appear to emit blood, just thick brownish gore as it was surrounded with it.

"Wait, how can you say that?" Shylock says, his face turning all red.

"Look Shyshy" Anna says as she climbs her unicorn back and stared at him like a queen to a servant

"I think you are a great guy, I mean you really are but it's over between us, Dad doesn't support our relationship, I don't think I have much feelings for you too, you are charming, in the last beauty pageant, you won most attractive critter five years in a row, most of the female vampires and werewolves find you attractive including some dark and wood elves, female Minotaurs and so much more, just get over me."

"But it's you I am in love with, I don't give a fang about anyone else" Shylock says as he stares at Anna all puppy dog eyed, it was true, Shylock was so handsome and he had an athletic build, he was perfect even for a vampire.

"Get your head out of the clouds, we do not reside in a Romeo and Juliet show" Anna says unimpressed

"Now, Father would be expecting us to be back, he would have been done with Dickson anyway, it's past eleven, it's about seventeen miles back to the castle, do you want a ride?"

"No, don't bother, I will catch up with you" Shylock answers her.

Anna giddies up her unicorn as it rides forward towards the castle running at full speed.

Shylock felt so sad as he sat down, he loved Anna ever since the first day he laid eyes on her, he couldn't ever forget, it was during the war with Azexela when she was rescued from City of Teras alongside her mother, he had cast his eyes on her, never had he seen such grace and beauty from a woman before. Naturally at first, she was drawn by his masculine and overwhelming charm, they had been seeing each other for almost sixteen years obviously lying to her father about it but eventually he figured it out a few weeks after they broke up thanks to an abstract being called Meglor.

"God, I just love her, I'd do anything to gain her love too" Shylock taught to himself, he was born from the first man that Dracula had turned, he was just 271 years old but he still looked a typical human 19 year old teenager, due to his immense strength, ingenuity and skill, he became the first youngest elite since the nightwalkers clan was established, Dracula personally established the clan network all over the multiverse but the angelic war between the angels and the Alpha-human destroyed all of the nightwalkers clan network multiversal wide.

Alucard after he was born took his father in who due to some issues, he aged abnormally and lost most of his memories before he later passed away. Shylock was Alucard's first choice and so far, he hadn't disappointed him.

"So you want the princess uhn" came a voice, Shylock turns toward the direction of the voice, it was the angel who had combatted Sarah earlier on, her body was scathed and there were marks on her dress, though, her wings were hidden.

"My Fair Lady, are you hurt?" Shylock asks as he approaches her.

"I don't need your pity" She says as she stands upright, though it was obvious she was in intense agony

"Do you really feel good seeing the way she just treated you."

"She's the princess of this distinguished kingdom, I am but a mere subject of her's, I am forbidden to do anything" Shylock says in her defence.

"But yet, she treats you like a toy, telling you to do things forbidden by her father, you are nothing more than a lap dog to her."

"I chose to live this life, I am not dissatisfied or unhappy with the way things are" Shylock says to her again.

"But you should be" the angel says at him.

"I am sorry to be rude to such a lovely and alluring damsel such as yourself but I can let you no longer speak ill of the princess, I suggest you leave Teras" Shylock says as he bares his fangs at her.

The angel just looked at him, she let out a haughty smile, Shylock instantly collapses to the ground, he was vibrating and shivering like someone who was indisposed with fever.

"I was hoping I could persuade you into being my inside worker but turns out I was wrong, I have to resort to other ways, you see Arch angels have this ability called compulsion, it was bestowed unto us by the gods in order to get the humans to do whatever we wanted whenever we are sent to the lower realm but I am not here on the gods orders" she smiles.

"Then on whose orders are you here?" Shylock asks still grunting as he struggles to get a hold on himself.

"On mine" she begins with a sinister smile as she caresses his face

"And you are going to be the little lap dog that you are and do my every bidding."

"Leave him alone" came Anna's voice, the angel and Shylock turn towards her direction, Anna had just gotten down from her unicorn and she was holding her weapon.

"You are have no importance or significance to me, who I am truly after is the alpha human, I will get taking my leave" The angel says as she vanishes.

"Who was that?" Anna asks.

"Probably one of my admirers" Shylock grins as he gets up from the floor, he had a proper hold on his body now, he was able to spot some red on Anna's cheeks

"So you really do have feelings for me?"

"That's not the point, we need to get back to the castle now, else we would both get into trouble and unless you wanna wind up in the succubi den, you might wanna tag along" Anna says as she casts a spell.

"I thought we were going to the castle, what's the portal for?" Shylock asks.

"We are" Anna begins as he moves over to the portal

"I will use the portal to go into my bedroom, I need you to drop my unicorn at the stables."

"Your wish is my command" Shylock says with a low bow.

"Good" Anna says indignantly as she enters the portal.

Shylock walks over to the portal as he pats it lightly on his head.

"You know sometimes, I think I am stupid, I mean even if Anna has feelings for me, it will never work out, we were just not meant to be" Shylock says aloud, almost immediately, the unicorn gleabs loudly.

"GLEEHHHH" came the unicorn.

"I really don't understand you but I am pretty sure you just said I am not stupid and things will work out" Shylock says with a hopeful grin.

"GLEEHHHH" the unicorn shouts again.

"Awwn thanks, that's really encouraging" Shylock smiles

"I love you too" he says as he hugs the unicorn tightly.

"Just stop" came Anna's voice at him, Shylock stops as he turns and looks towards her.

"Thought you said you was going" Shylock says with a perplexed look on his face.

"I was but you are so pitiful and hilarious" Anna says laughing heartily.

"What do you mean?"Shylock asks.

"You don't understand unicorns much, do you?" Anna grins.

"I am a work in progress" Shylock smiles.

"Well, the first thing he said was that your hands smell like Drazt dung and he doesn't give a fang about your sad life" Anna says laughing even more heartily.

"Ooh, that really hurts and here was I thinking he liked me" Shylock says scratching his head as the unicorn gleabs again.

"I think he likes you, he just called you pathetic and miserable, and he's really using a lot of censored words, that's some love from a unicorn" Anna laughs.

"So did you just come here to laugh or for something else" Shylock asks.

"Actually, I needed to ensure you are alright, wouldn't want that crazy lady to come again and enchant you, I thought I could use this to lure her out but turns out it was a bust" she ends with a mild smile as a portal appears right before her

"I will be going, I don't think she's banking on returning anytime soon, do as I instructed earlier."

"Sure."

"And also, try not to talk to the unicorn, he really doesn't like it or well, you know, you" Anna smiles as she enters the portal.

"This day can certainly not get any worse" Shylock frowns as he walks the unicorn of to the stable, thanks to his incredible speed, he arrives in four zeptoseconds, he confines it to it's assigned post along side other unicorns, though the one with him was the most attractive as it looked bigger and healthier than the rest.

Most of them were asleep so Shylock just refilled the barn with more hay and water for them.

"You are quite the thoughtful one, ain't ya?" came the angelic familiar voice again, Shylock turns in her direction as he shuddered. She was sitting on a stack of hay, the clothes she was wearing before had vanished, right now, she was dressed in a brown beautiful dress.

"Can you stop doing that?" Shylock asks.

"I wouldn't need to again, I am pretty sure this will be the last time" she smiles.

"So what are you, a creep and why didn't you show your face after Anna left the first time?" Shylock asks.

"I am over seven hundred decillion years old, I understand most creatures even more than they, themselves, I knew she pretended to go away so she could get the jump on me, she thought she was being clever but it's an old and boring trick and as for the other question, I am not a creep, you are nothing but a mere tool for my convenience" the angel says as she rises from the hay towards Shylock's direction.

"So what made you think she wouldn't come here" Shylock asks.

"Isn't it obvious? The mortal still likes you, the first time she pretended to go and hide failed, it was awkward for her, that's why she had to refer to the unicorn, if she did it again this time and her instincts turn out wrong, it was showing that she didn't have a proper handle on her feelings and that's not a message she wants to be sending" She smiles.

"I don't suppose the words of the unicorn were false" Shylock asks.

"The unicorn actually said worse, she was being nice" the angel grins.

Shylock's facial expression turned sour at the words but still looking at the beautiful damsel who was approaching him

"So what do you want with me?"

"I thought I made it painfully clear the first time" she smirks

"You are to be my lap dog."

"And if I refuse."

"I am not asking" She smiles as a force pulls Shylock towards her, he was about five feet away from her but he now stood directly in front of her.

"Now, you are going to do exactly what I say" she ends with a cruel smile.
