"Clovis, all the men in the palace are going to war, and we can't expect a lady to work at the stables and take care of the horses, right?" he asked, and I nodded. He was going to ask me to take care of the horses. Since he was feigning kindness, why not play along? "That's right, uncle. I would have loved to do that myself, but it's my honeymoon. But don't worry, I will send someone to take care of it," I said. He furrowed his brows before relaxing them. "That's right, it's your honeymoon, and you are married now, which means you won't have a chance in the future. Maybe you shouldn't come to the palace again," he said. I gritted my teeth angrily. He was going to ban me from my father's palace if I didn't take care of the horses. Just a little bit more, and I would finally be able to take my revenge on this man for ruining my life. Besides, I already had spies in the palace, so there was no need for me to come here. "Yes, my wife will need me more," I said and turned on my heels. "Don't you dare leave," he ordered, and I could feel the anger in his tone. I stared at him for a while before scoffing. I knew this would make him angry enough to send his guards to teach me a lesson, but I didn't care. "My honeymoon," I reminded him before leaving. As I walked out of the palace I realized one thing, I could always use my wife to make myself appear more useless and invisible to the kingdom. And talking about Kingdom, I had to save one. I hurried to my horse before riding away, soon I caught up with the armies and I had to make sure they didn’t see me. After another hour, they finally stopped in a small peaceful kingdom. There were a lot of bright colorsand the smile on their faces proved they were happy but my uncle was going to ruin their lives. “Attack” Makia shouted and the armies walked down with swords, the peaceful place became loud with screams as every wolf ran to find a hiding spot. “They are from Lunaris everyone run” a man yelled as he retracted a sword to protect his loved ones, he rushed towards a soldier but he was deeply cut in the stomach with a sword. I stared at the amount of blood on the sword and the smile on the monsters' faces. My uncle trained monsters, and I was one of them. Seeing the blood made my eyes turn white as I clenched my fists angrily. "Grrr," I growled, and my fangs grew out. In less than one minute, I transformed into a wolf and ran towards the armies. "Who is that?" Makia stared at me with a scared look. I looked scary as a huge brown wolf, and this made people fear me. Without wasting much time, I hit a group of armies, pushing them hard to the ground. The others approached me with their swords, but I was able to dodge them and hit back. They suddenly transformed into wolves and circled me. I stared at the other wolves in hiding. They were so scared of my uncle's armies that they dared not come out. Guess I was alone. Laura’s POV: I still looked nervous as I sat on the bed. What was my punishment going to be? Would the ruthless king order for my head? The thought made me scared. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, and due to reflexes, I stood up immediately. "Lady Laura?" A man who looked even as handsome as the prince stood by the door with a gentle look. I wondered who he was, but I knew immediately that he wasn’t the prince because there were only two princes, Makia Kaseman, who is known as the most powerful wolf after his dad, and Clovis Kaseman, who is now my husband and is known for his uselessness. "Yes," I replied with a nervous tone. "I am Derick, the prince's bodyguard," he introduced, and I nodded. Did the prince send him to punish me? "Your family cheated him, and he is so angry about that, so he wants you to leave," he said, and I felt like he was sad about it. Did he feel bad for me? I shook my head in denial. I didn't want to go back to that mansion. It would be better if he made me one of the maids here, but he shouldn't send me away. "Please, I can’t go back," I said sincerely, and he sighed heavily. "I can’t do anything about that. The guards will take you back…have a safe trip." When he was done talking, he left immediately. There was no way I was going back to my family. Guess this was it. I was finally free from the clutches of everyone. I couldn’t even object to the prince's order because the royal family held so much power that I could be killed, and nothing would be done about it. Minutes later, some guards walked into the room, and I knew it was time to leave. "Can I change?" I asked, and they nodded. I walked towards the closet and found it was filled with beautiful ladies' outfits. Guess it was arranged for Jackie, but instead, he got me…such a disappointment. Minutes later, I got dressed in a simple flowery gown and walked downstairs when I found the guards still waiting. Seeing me, they walked outside towards the carriage, and I frowned. If I wanted to be freed, then I didn't need a carriage. I should probably go alone with a horse so that no one would be able to track me once I was gone. "My parents would be so upset seeing that you brought me back, and they might say hurtful words to you, and I certainly don't want that," I said with a sad look, and they both stared at each other. "How about you let me go alone? I am good at riding," I added, but they still kept quiet. Were they not allowed to talk or were they dumb?
