Three days since Daniel came back. Everything went smoothly. Adam is still the one who cleans up, Luke for the dishes, and Daniel... to rest. As for Snow, she stays in her room always. Only going down if it is time to eat.
"We should talk to her," Adam suggested while wiping off the dust from the shelf.
"Let her. You know how stubborn she is." Daniel responded. They are in the library. Snow wanted to have a library in the house for she loves to read.
The latter opened a magazine he found at the table. An entertainment magazine was released last month. Reading entertainment magazines is not his style but it is the only thing closer to him. He is too lazy to find a book on the shelves.
"That nickname thing, she's taking it seriously." Adam huffed. Moving on to the next shelf. This library is not that big but he is already tired from cleaning.
"Adam," Daniel warned him. The other man apologized. He missed Snow, maybe calling her in the nickname makes her uncomfortable. Besides, the one who is calling her that is already gone. There's no way she still loves other people to call her that.
They understand Snow, though. She's been through a lot. She is also not expressive with her emotions after the incident. The person she loves the most was taken right in front of her. If Daniel was in Snow's shoes, he will probably have just given up on his life.
That is one of the reasons why he admired Snow. She is strong despite her young age. Not talking about her physical strength, but her emotional strength. After the incident, they never saw her cry, nor show her fragile self. She is an amazing woman.
Daniel was about to flip the next page of the magazine he was reading when their phone lightened up from the notification.
Meeting tonight. 22:00 sharp.
That was what the message said. It's like a group message but sent individually. They know all of them received it. Even Snow.
Daniel closed his phone after deleting the message to continue reading the magazine. He heard Adam chuckling. "Haven't heard about them for a long time." It is his turn to delete the message to keep his phone from his pants' back pocket.
"Maybe they found something." He replied, not looking to the man who started to clean again.
"I'm glad. Cleaning the house is a boring job. No one is paying me. You guys are just bullying me."
"Damn you. Are you a child?" Daniel furrowed his brows. He sometimes cannot read this man.
Suddenly, the library's door opened. Snow Lee entered wearing his serious face. She is holding her phone. It's been two minutes since they received the message.
"Delete the message if you still haven't, Jjang." Daniel turned his gaze to Snow who is now sitting in front of him.
"What's with this meeting?" She asked, deleting the message from her phone. Her eyes searched the library, they are not complete.
"Where's Luke?" She added another question.
"Here." A young man's voice was then heard. "I'm sorry, I overslept." He yawned, closing the door behind him.
"I already deleted mine." He added, sitting on the floor since all of the chairs are occupied. This is just a normal scene for the four. Gathering around and talk about their stuff.
"Are we still going to come separately?" Adam, who finished cleaning the shelves climbed down the ladder to join the others.
"Of course. Same as before." Daniel announced before closing the magazine and putting it back where it belongs.
"Me first, and Luke, and Daniel, and Snow." He explained, getting a nod from the three as a response.
"Start preparing. We will leave an hour from now. They moved locations so it will take almost three hours before we get there." Snow announced as she walks outside.
They will come back after a year. Snow wonders if her skills have rusted. No one knows. The text was unexpected. She halts from training for a month now, and she regrets that. She shouldn't have done that if she knew they will need the four again. But then, it's been a while. She smiled to herself.
Snow cannot wait for this.
----------------------------------------
She slammed her car's door when she reached the destination. She is upset. The three-hour drive is exhausting. They better give us better information this time.
She entered the building where she met a bodyguard. "Miss Lee, the meeting is on the 10th floor. Let me escort you." He greeted politely, but Snow resisted. "I'll go alone." The guard nodded, leaving her alone.
Snow went to the elevator and clicked the 10th button. Adam, Luke, and Daniel were already there when she entered the room. Only five of them are inside, including the one who called them.
"Boss." She said, getting the attention of the man in front of her. She did not wait for a reply, taking her seat beside Daniel.
"Always right on time, Lee." The man turned his back. A cigarette in his right hand.
"Just spill it." She answered back, losing her patience.
Their boss gave her a file. "All of the details my men have gathered are written in the file." Their boss explained, finally taking a seat.
"UA University." Snow whispered before closing her eyes. She used to study there before the incident happened. She clenched her jaw. No way this man is gonna make us come back there.
"What do you want us to do?" Luke asked, noticing the sudden change in Snow's mood.
"That bastard is hiding. There is a high chance that they are planning to find us. The only chance we can find their hideout is to search for his son in that university." Snow sighed. She knows where this conversation is going.
"How can we find someone if we don't even know what he looks like?" Adam questioned the man. He receives a smirk for a reply.
"There is no way those assholes are stopping our business. That's why I chose you four — my best men. I will use his son to get him out of his cave." He sucks on his cigarette and puffs the smoke.
"He changed his son's identity. The only thing we are sure of is his dragon tattoo on his right hip." He added.
"And when we find him?" Snow asked, closing the file.
"Kill him."
