Chapter 22

2390 Words
Analisa's POV The night finished without any other issues. Austin remained silent the entire night. When we got back, he went straight to bed. I actually feel bad for how I was with him. I should have asked if he was okay with it. I assumed he would be because he said he was in love with me. I am currently waiting at the airport for Ryan to land. I have that meeting in 1 hour after he lands, but the drive to the location is almost an hour away. Austin came with me. I glanced at him and saw him looking at the ground. What is wrong with him? It is starting to annoy me seeing him like this. I finally see Ryan and he is dressed to impress like the amazing assistant he is. I like to watch him walk because when he strides into any room, as if he owned that place. His confidence is super sexy and, not to mention, he is built like a god and his looks are wow. He is perfection. Wait, what? I am in love with Declan, and I am married to someone else. How can I have thoughts like that? I looked at Austin who was standing a distance to my right. He is attractive with his innocent looks, but his best feature is his very deep blue eyes. Let's just say nothing about him appeals to me other than those eyes and that is not enough. I guess I was staring at him too long because he met my eyes for a second and looked up at the airport ceiling. Ryan makes his presence known by clearing his throat. I directed my gaze at him and smiled, "How was the flight? Are you hungry? I made your favorite breakfast for you but it is in the car." He smiles and chuckles, "The flight was great. I loved seeing how the rich travel. And no, I did not eat. The flight attendant messed up my breakfast and I didn't have the heart to tell her. So breakfast would be greatly appreciated." I walk beside Ryan but grab Austin's hand when I see him frown at my closeness to Ryan. I have an image to hold and I cannot have him making me look bad because he is insecure. I continued talking with Ryan about what I wanted to achieve at this meeting. He points out some valid points that need to be addressed. This is why he is my assistant. He already knows me so well but wants to make sure I am fully prepared. I spotted the person who took pictures of me and Austin at the club, so I pulled Austin's hand, making him wrap an arm around my waist as we continued on our way. I hear him groan as he curls his fingers on my stomach. I ignore him as I focus on what Ryan is saying and where I am walking. Today I have a local driving us to the destination. We all slid into the backseat and I leaned forward, got the container and handed it to Ryan along with a fork. He starts eating as we take off. I could see Austin looking at me as if he wanted to say something, so I gave him my attention. "Say what you want to say Austin, it is no use in holding back." He looks out the window and says, "T-thank you." I looked at him strangely. Why is he thanking me? So I ask him, "Why?" He takes a deep breath before saying, "For comforting me and touching me and letting me touch you. I-I know it was not ideal for you." I raised my brow, "Well, we are married in the eyes of the public, so we need to show them what they want to see." He sighs quietly but nods. I look back at Ryan who is now finishing his food. I blurt out, "Damn." He smiles sheepishly but says, "This food is delicious and I was super hungry." I giggle at him but stop when Austin says, "My wife is an amazing cook, even though she only eats certain foods." I was sitting stunned when he said that which makes Ryan start coughing awkwardly. I hide the irritation and disappointment with a smile when I notice the drivers eyes on me. I spoke in a soft voice, "Thank you baby. I try my best." Austin smiled at me with pure admiration on his face and I could see he genuinely meant what he said. Ugh, he would be perfect for someone else but he chose to interfere in my life. His kindness is annoying because it is like he wants me to feel bad for how I treat him. I was happy with who I was with and had a future planned. I stared out the window for the rest of the drive, contemplating my next step. Arriving at the destination, I saw Austin's face with a look that showed he was impressed. I love this land. It is beautiful. I plan on buying all the plots in this area so I can preserve its natural appearance. I do not plan on building on it. I already have my eye on a few houses here that are at the edge of these plots. They are acres wide and so clean. I am greeted by the owners of the land first and I get to talking with them. I notice they keep glancing from me to both guys and I go to introduce them. I started to introduce my partner first because it is common courtesy, but it turned awkward very fast because as soon as I said, "This is my husband..." They cut me off, automatically greeting Ryan as my husband instead of Austin, who was standing with a shocked and hurt expression. I try to hide the slight laugh that escapes me. I do not correct them and neither do they. I thought Austin would correct them. That is why I stared at him for a few moments longer than Ryan, but he just shook his head, signaling for me to leave it. Ryan just went along with it and started talking to them about the properties. After about 20 minutes, he managed to close the deals. I was impressed with how rapidly he worked. I wonder why he is an assistant when he could be a CEO of a company. I feel like he is hiding something. There were some missing parts in the background check but it did not look major and did not cause alarm due to the references he had listed. Even Austin was impressed. After closing the deals, we left and headed back to the villa we were staying at. I did originally book a room for Ryan but Austin insisted that he stay at the villa with us because there were still 2 available rooms left. Arriving at the villa, Ryan takes his luggage inside and Austin shows him to the room closest to mine. I was surprised when Austin took the room furthest from mine and now he is giving the closest room to mine to Ryan. I have no idea what he is planning, but I will find out. How is he acting so chill with Ryan being close to me? When we were at the airport, he frowned at the closeness I had with Ryan. Not to mention the look of jealousy he had on his face last night at the club. I decided it was time for another appearance, this time in the daytime. I wait for Austin to come into the living area I am currently sitting in. Once I saw him, I said nonchalantly, "Austin, let's go to the pool." His eyes widened. And that is when I think back, has he ever seen me in a bikini? I do not model bikini's or lingerie. My parents do not want me to have a sexy image but a professional one. I am grateful for that, but now here I am putting on a black ring-linked halter triangle bikini swimsuit with a cover-up dress. I step back into the living area and my eyes automatically land on Ryan. Oh my goodness! I thought he looked like a god with clothes on, but with him, only in swimming trunks makes him 10 times more god-like. I was interrupted in my checking him out by a throat clearing. I heard Austin's sad voice, "You are drooling at the sight of him." I did not even realize he was even in the room. I cleared my throat and looked at Austin and apologized. "Sorry, I do not know what came over me." I am jealous of the other people who will get to feast their eyes on Ryans body. I want to touch it, lick it, bite it. Goodness, what the hell is wrong with me? When was the last time I had s*x? I shake my head at the thought. I turned my attention back to Austin and I let my eyes roam over his body, checking him out. And yeah, the horniness I felt when I looked at Ryan dried up. Like I said, Austin is good looking but he does nothing for me. I only feel repulsion and irritation towards him. I smirked at the thought as I looked at Austin's face, only to see him smiling at me with pride. I guess he thought the smirk was for him. I want to laugh but hold it. I occasionally looked at Ryan and saw him doing the same. "Shall we head to the pool?" I asked. They both say yes, but I concentrate on Ryan's powerful voice. It reminds me of our kiss and the feeling of his body heat against my body. I imagine what it would feel like to have him naked against me. I almost moan at the thought. Austin led us to the pool attached to the hotel. All eyes were on us as we neared some pool chairs. My jealousy returns when I see a girl approaching Ryan. Why am I jealous? He is only my assistant. I cannot feel this way about him. He rejected me. I see another girl approaching Austin and a guy making his way to me. What the f**k, did they not see us come here together? My sole focus is on Ryan as he turns the girl down, which makes me smile. I then hear Austin apologizing, saying he was married. Why is he apologizing for being married? He is the one who wanted to get married. I listen to their conversation where she says that he was too young to be someone's husband, but the wife is lucky and she didn't need to know if he changed his mind. She even sent him a wink and continued spewing more bullshit. The guy that approached me touched me to get my attention. I go to tell him off but Ryan comes to my defense and tells him to leave me alone because I was married and not interested. I look at Ryan with admiration and he is looking at me with a lazy, seductive smile. I do not think it was meant to be seductive, but how can it not when he looks like that? Ryan looked irritated, looking past me. I see the girl all over Austin and he is smiling widely. s**t, this is not good for our image of a happy couple. Ryan speaks harshly, "How can he let another woman touch him when he is with you and you are literally in the same vicinity? You are the most gorgeous woman here and he is lucky to be married to you." I sigh and frown, knowing what I have to do. Ryan leans in and whispers, "I know you are hesitating but pretend it is someone else." I want it to be someone else like him. I would fight a b***h for him easily. I scoot closer to Austin and push the girl away and say in a cold voice, "Next time you want to steal someones husband, make sure the wife is not 2 feet away and also make sure you are better than her in every which way." She looks gobsmacked and responds, "You are his wife? I thought that dude on the other side was your boyfriend. You two look better together. Wait, you are a celebrity, aren't you? I have seen you somewhere." I smile at her and tilt my head slightly when she gets a look of recognition. She spoke rapidly, "Y-you are Analisa. You are super famous. I am sorry I did not recognize you sooner. Wait, this is your husband. I read somewhere you got married. Who would have thought you would have passed up that hottie on the other side of you for this basic guy? You really f****d up choosing that one, huh? I mean it is not too late to swap. I only hit on this dude because I thought the other guy was yours and knew I could not compete with you." At that point I was fuming. Was she not just hitting on Austin stating a bunch of bullshit and now she is insulting him and complimenting Ryan? Who the f**k does this b***h think she is? I breathe deeply to try and keep my calm, but it does not work and I speak harshly. "How dare you? First you flirt with my husband, insulting me in the process, and then insult him when you find out I am the one married to him. Then you compliment and lowkey hit on the other guy with us in our very presence now that you know we are not together. Who the hell are you to think to say such things? I could ruin your entire life in 2 seconds if I wanted to. I advise you to stay out of sight and not to let me see you again or there will be consequences for your lack of respect for other people." I pinched the bridge of my nose and added, "My suggestion for you is to know the facts before you do anything because you never know how someone will react."
