Analisa's POV
My head is pounding right now, causing me to rub my temples. I am so annoyed at the moment. I know I should be nicer but they are testing my limits and they have already reached them. I have already lost who I was for who I am supposed to be. I do not know how many more sacrifices I have left in me.
I walked out of the room I was in and made my way to my car where my driver was waiting. I could hear people calling out my name but I ignored them. I get in the back seat and Ryan gets in the passenger seat. My driver asks, "Miss Analisa, where to?" "To the mall Nick. I want to shop for something that my mother did not make." I answered while facing the window. He nods and drives to the mall. I watch as the scenery blurs passed us.
As soon as we arrived, I jumped out and made my way into the building. I was so excited to be doing this. I checked behind me to see where Ryan was and saw he was following me at a distance. I walked through so many stores and ended up buying so many things. As we were leaving, I spotted a bridal store. I jumped up and down excitedly facing Ryan, who looked nervous. I grabbed his arm and pulled him into the store. We were greeted by a sales clerk. Who asked us when the wedding was and I told her the date she got so serious and said we must hurry and find the dress because the date was close and alterations had to be made on time. Igiggled when she scolded Ryan for allowing his fiancee to choose a dress this late.
Neither of us corrected her. I tried 6 wedding dresses until I found the perfect dress for my forced marriage. I got a lot of curious and questionable looks because of the colors, but I love it. Ryan even complimented it, saying it was beautiful and how I looked gorgeous. They chanted kiss, kiss, kiss and I gave him a kiss on the cheek, getting a handful of awws.
Ryan's face was completely red and I was completely shocked by his reaction. We made our way out with all the bags from my purchases. We made it to my penthouse and I had both my driver and my assistant come up with me. I decided to knock to see how long it took my brother to open the door.
He took a minute to open the door. I automatically jumped and hugged my brother. He shakes his head and laughs while hugging me back. I have gotten closer to my brother in the months that have passed. I am so glad to have my brother back. We made our way to the living room and I started sorting through the clothes I bought. I sorted 4 separate piles and the guys were looking at me curiously as I did this. I smile at them and start giving them the clothes I purchased for all of them. "I hope I picked the correct sizes for you guys. I believe all the outfits I chose for you will suit you well." I told them in a kind voice. They all looked astonished. My brother was the first to speak. "Mind if we try them on sis?" I nodded and smiled. "Hey sis, I will show Nick to the other guest room." I smiled at Ryan. "You can use my room. Just let me place my clothes in the closet. I can organize them later."
I led him to my room and opened the door. I allowed him to enter first and I then made my way to my closet and set my bags down. I smile as I leave the room seeing him look around. My room is very plain with dark gray walls with subtle hints of dark blue decor and blue satin bedding. I go to the living room and wait for them to finish trying them on. My brother walks out in the first outfit. "Hey sis, do I look as handsome as you pictured?"
"Oh Brother, you look even better than I thought, even with that face, which is totally a cheaper version."
"Oh you hurt me sis." We both laugh as he goes back to change into a new outfit.
He models all his clothes for me and we laugh as I remark about his poses and how sloppy his walk is.
He comes to sit down next to me and so do the other guys. I look at both of them. "Do they fit? Do you like them?" They both nod rapidly and blush. Which is so cute. I laugh and my brother chuckles. My brother said, "Aww how cute two grown men are blushing, because my sister asked a few simple questions. I do understand she is pretty, isn't she?" They turned their heads.
"Brother, behave. I am so honored to get this type of reaction from such handsome men." I said in a soft voice with a genuine smile. "Sis, I am beginning to think you have a crush on one of these gentlemen with the way you are speaking." I laughed and nudged my brother. He gasps and nudges me back. "Ignore him guys, he is moronic at times, but I also have eyes and you are both very attractive."
After awhile, they relaxed. We ended up having a great rest of the day. Why must everything good come to an end?
Arriving at the mansion, I saw four cars. Oh no. By the looks of the cars, this can not be good. I hesitated before walking through the front doors. I am greeted by my mother, who is glaring at me. "Hello mother." She roughly grabs my wrist and pulls me along with her towards the living room. "Mother, you are hurting me." She just shushes me as we make it into the room. I was correct. My parents, Austin and his parents are here. Austin rushes to my side and removes my mother's hand from my wrist. I guess he noticed my grimace. I pulled my hand from his and thanked him kindly. I am grateful for his help, but his touch disgusts me no matter how hard I try not to be repulsed.
"Sweetheart, please take a seat. We have much to disgust with the wedding around the corner." My father says.
I take my seat, which happens to be a chair that only fits one person. Austin sits on the arm of the chair and I sigh quietly.
"Ana, switch seats with your future husband!" "But mother, there is another chair right there, he can sit there. There is no need to sit in the same seat." Her face shows she is about to yell at me because she is fuming. I stood up and sat on the other arm. "Austin, please sit in the chair. I apologize for my rudeness," I said, as I gestured to where I was sitting. He smiles and sits down. He went to touch my leg and I quickly grabbed the pillow and placed it on my lap just as his arm landed on the pillow. I smiled. "I think your arm will be more comfortable this way." He nods and turns to face our parents. I sigh internally.
My father speaks again, "So now that we are all settled, let us discuss the necessary things..." My mother cuts in. "Ana, you will be publicly dating Austin to show that you two are happy before the wedding. I do not want gossip about how we are forcing this marriage. It was very hard when the public gave backlash to us regarding your and Declans break up."
"Mother, this wedding is forced. I am also not going to be dating him publicly because he is underage. Also, he is with other girls in public. How will that look for my image? Another thing me and Declans breaking up did have something to do with father and Austin. I know beyond the two tests there was more interference from all of you but they were the final straw."
"ENOUGH ANA, YOU WILL NOT SPEAK TO ME THAT WAY!" She yelled and took a breath and added, "Everything we have done has been what is best for you." I could feel the sting in my eyes but I held the tears back. "What was best for me was for you to leave me as I was. I HAD the perfect boyfriend already. What I had with Delcan was mutual, we loved and respected each other. He was book smart and attractive. Our kids would have been intelligent and good-looking. Is that not what you wanted?" She glares at me. "The wedding will happen and you will be seen in public with Austin whether you accept it or not." I give a pleading look to my father and he gives me a blank look. I dropped from the arm of the chair onto my knees and pleaded. "Please don't make me do this. I have never asked for anything. Please give me this and I will do anything else you ask of me with no objections. Please, dad, mom, I know that you do not love me, but please spare me from this marriage. I will marry anyone else you choose, but not him. I beg you not to force me to marry Declan's younger cousin. This is so wrong." They turned away from me, so I turned to Austin to plead with him. "Austin, do you really want to end up in a loveless marriage? I will never be able to love you and we both end up miserable. You can find another girl more suitable for you. I can introduce you to many girls, even other heiresses. Please don't do this. Don't end our chance at happiness." He sighs, "Sorry Analisa, but I am in love with you and do not want another. I want this marriage to happen."
I stood up and said in a resigned voice, "Fine, the wedding will happen, but heed my warning you will all regret forcing me into the marriage."
I walked out of the living room and went to my bedroom.
I pulled out my phone and called the one person who could calm me down with his rational thinking. He answered on the first ring. 'Hey, do you have time to talk?'
'Hey, of course I do. What is wrong?'
'My parents, Austin and his parents, are here as well. I just did the dumbest thing I could have done. I pleaded with them to release me from this marriage. They refused. I even kneeled. I am officially at rock bottom. I cannot take it anymore. I have already lost my first love to another woman. I have never had a say in what I do in my life careerwise or lookwise. I did not even get to choose which languages I got to learn. I had to fight and argue with the parents so I could date Declan but in the end they interfered. How is this fair?'
'Kiddo, I know this has been hard on you. I do not want you to marry that idiotic kid, but I also know that once you get married it will give you more leverage towards your freedom. Your parents will not be able to control you as they have and Austin is still young and naive, so this could be an advantage for you as well. The plan is in motion and it is time for the next step. You know this is needed for the plan to work. Now get some rest and think about what I said, hmm.'
'Thank you I will. This is why I called you. I needed to hear your rationality to calm down and think about it from a different perspective. I love you and I will see you soon.'
'I love you too and, yes, we will be seeing each other very soon.'
I end the call and toss my phone on my bed. I looked around my room to see everything was white with hints of pink. I hate this room so much. It is so bright. Not to mention there are no personal touches, it looks like a room from a magazine that no one has ever lived in.
