Analisa's POV
Time had flown by. The days started off slowly and ended abruptly. Today is the day I marry Austin. He just turned 18 years old today. He was quite literal when he said he wanted to marry me once he turned 18. He officially sacrificed his birthday, replacing it with our future anniversaries. I would think this was cute or admirable if he was anyone else, but because it is him, I don't. He did it for selfish reasons.
This reminds me of the date he won. We never did go through with it. And I paid 1 million dollars to prevent having to go on a date alone with him, but pretty much ended up donating said money because we never did go on that dumbass date. At this point, I would rather prefer that date to this crappy day.
I have been at the venue since I woke up just prepping everything I had planned. I decided at the last minute to tell Austin that we should write our own vows. He, of course, accepted this, but it was a huge curveball for him. Now he has to write the vows in a rushed manner while mine are already done. I cannot wait to hear what he writes.
Our wedding is a morning wedding which is in a few hours. I have already showered. I am now waiting for the stylist to get here.
Minutes later, I heard a soft knock. "Come in." The stylist was about to enter when she was pulled back. "I am the bride's mother, do you have no courtesy or are you that ill mannered to not let me go first?" The stylist apologizes but my mother ignores her. "Ana, where do you find these people? You need to start doing background checks on them." I gave a blank look towards my mother. "You hired her, not me. So heed your own advice."
"ANA, today is not the day for your smart remarks. Today is a very special day." My mother faces the stylist who now looks annoyed. "Girl make sure to make my daughter looks elegant. Her hair should be half up, half down with curls. It must also be elegant. Do you understand?" The stylist only nods, confirming that she understands.
Hours pass and in less than 30 minutes I will have to walk down the aisle. My mother is helping me get into the dress she made for me and it is so tight. "Ana, have you been following your diet because this dress barely fits you and I always make your clothes. There is no way I would mistake your size." I sighed before retorting. "I have not gained any weight. You seem to be making me tighter fitting clothes." She huffs at me. "Nonsense, I never make mistakes." I stay quiet because I know better than to argue with this woman. She makes mistakes all the time but thinks too highly of herself.
She leaves after I have the dress on. The stylist is about to leave but I stop her and ask her to help me to change my dress. The stylist laughs as if I told her a joke until I tell her I am serious and I pull out the dress. She immediately helped me remove the contraption of a dress my mother made so I could put the other one on. She praised the dress and said this one is much more fitting for me. I thanked her just as my godfather entered the room with tears in his eyes. "Kiddo, you look so beautiful but I never would have thought your mother would create a dress like that." I started laughing. "This dress is not one of hers. That is," I said as I pointed to each dress.
He got a look of understanding as he saw the dress my mother made. "That looks painful." I nodded, "It was trust me and I only had it on for 10 minutes." "Are you ready for this? Wait, why is your father not here yet?" I tilted my head. "He is not walking me down the aisle, he said this was something I needed to do alone, but I have that covered." He looks at me sadly. "Sorry kiddo." I smile at him don't worry about it. If this had been my dream wedding with the love of my life, you would have been the one walking down the aisle, but since it's not, I chose someone more fitting." He sighs and hugs me. "I love you and I hope you get that dream wedding some day. I would be honored to be the one walking you down the aisle."
Another knock sounds on the door. "Come in." In walks the man who agreed to walk me down the aisle. I have no idea what he was thinking when he agreed but I am glad he did. He greets my godfather, who then leaves the room. He then came over to me. "You look stunning. Are you ready?" I nodded. "As ready as I can be. Are you ready?" He laughs. "Yes, I was born ready, plus I love to make people mad. Especially if I get to do the honor of walking beside you." I smiled at him and hugged him. I whispered "Thank you. You have no idea what this means to me."
We made it downstairs and are now waiting behind the double doors. He pulls the veil down over my face just as both doors open. I ignored a few gasps and whispers and let him continue to guide me down the aisle. As we reached the altar, I saw my parents' faces completely red from anger. I saw Austin looking shocked and saw Declan standing behind Austin with a proud smile on his face, seeing that his own father had walked me down the aisle.
The officiant asks who is giving me away and Declan's father says him as he puts my hand in Austin's. I thank whoever invented gloves at the moment my hand touches Austin's. I know this is harsh, but I just do not know where his hand has been. We face each other and wait for the officiant to start.
"We are gathered here today to join the Groom and Bride in marriage......"
I zoned out after the first sentence until I heard the officiant mention we had prepared our own vows. Austin was asked to go first. I stared at him curiously.
"Analisa, my love, I do not know where to start. Baby, just know that I love you so much. From the very first moment I saw you, I saw an angel. I knew then I had to marry you. I knew you would be my future wife before I was even old enough to know what love was. At first glance, I knew I needed to have you by my side. And I will do whatever I can within my power to keep you happy and I will do my best to be the man you need." I give my best fake smile.
"Austin, I know I have not been the kindest to you, but I am going to change that because you have been so patient and kind to me. I may not love you like you love me right now, but I am looking forward to my future with you and the changes to come. I hope you continue to have the same patience you do now, because I know I am not perfect and I will mess up. I thank your parents as well as mine for this opportunity they have given me to be with you. I can say we will definitely be learning so much from each other from this day onward. Today is a special day. Not only is it the day you decided to give me the perfect position in your life, but also your birthday, so thank you for sharing your special day with me. I hope I am capable of being the wife you deserve."
Ryan's POV
I am standing at the back by the doors she entered through, against the wall, trying not to laugh. Her vows were filled with the truth and silent threats. And I seem to be the only one to have picked up on it. Everyone is praising her lovely vows. Do they really not see the disgusted look on her face and the hatred in her eyes? As the officiant tells Austin, he may give the bride. I see her reluctance while he is all smiles. He leaned towards her to kiss her, but even though she was swift with her movements, I clearly saw her move her face away, but it did genuinely look like they shared a kiss. But I also caught his brief look of shock after it. I am guessing she told him something.
I am glad I gave up my previous jobs for this. I get to be around this gorgeous young woman who may be struggling with who she is, but I can see right through her. I know exactly who she is. I feel sorry for her because she is surrounded by drama and people who are extremely arrogant and heartless.
As they walk down the aisle as a married couple, I see her wink at me as she passes me. We were notified last night that Austin purchased some type of aprodisiac. I must say the group of people working for her that spy on everyone around her are the best people at the job because they are never spotted and they are efficient and very detailed. I guess I should not expect less because they are paid top dollar to do this very job.
Once everyone leaves this venue, I make my way to the reception.
I stay in the corner being vigilant. Her brother passes by me and he trips over his own two feet. Well, at least he was watching the guests and not the ground.
Soon the married couple is announced. I see her gripping Austin's arm tightly and he has a grimace on his face, so I am going to go ahead and say it must hurt. She is smiling mischievously, so I know she is doing it on purpose. I must say her and her brother are sneaky. No one has noticed how she is intentionally doing things without their knowledge. Her brother had walked by their parents a handful of times and they did not seem to recognize him. At a time like this, it is extremely convenient. He blends in with the servers handing out drinks and food.
After a while, they are called on to do their first dance. Austin goes to hold her for the dance but she gives him an amused look as an upbeat song comes on. Well, he did say she could add or change whatever she wanted. Guess that came back to bite him in the ass. He looks hurt and has a look of determination. Their dance is soon over and her father steps onto the dance floor to dance with her, but she sidesteps him and pulls Declans' father to the dance floor for the father-daughter dance. Her father looks furious and embarrassed by this. I get it though he refused to walk her down the aisle, so why should he get the privilege of doing this dance with her?
Time flies by and it is nearing the end and I see Austin signal for that server. I know he just made his move and that means I need to make mine. I watch as she hesitates to drink what he hands her but ends up downing it in one go. He is watching her with a loving yet evil smile. Little does he know we were prepared for this.
20 minutes later, I can see her start to touch her head and struggle to focus. He is also getting handsy with her. She tries to push him away but she is clearly lacking her strength. It looks playful if you are not really paying attention. I started to move towards the door as I saw him helping her up. This dude is a top-notch entitled jackass.
I got outside and saw Declan with that girl he had brought back with him. He stiffens or moves away slightly every time she touches him. The girl looks sad every time he does it, but continues to try and he seems not to notice it because he is looking at the wall. Has he always been this awkward?
I finally saw Austin bringing Analisa out. I noticed he was struggling to carry her. Isn't he on the football team? He must be drunk from the few drinks he had. He clearly did not think that through. I approached them. "Mr. Spade, do you need some help?" He nods and says harshly. "Duh what the f**k do you think? Put her in the car and make sure she doesn't get out. I need to go get my phone and say goodbye to both our parents." He briskly walks away. Wow, that was easier than I thought.
Soon Analisa's brother rushed out with some girl on his arm. We make eye contact when he shouts, "See you there." as he hurries away. Okay I guess.
I put her in the car and as I closed the door, Declan cleared his throat. I turned and gave him my attention. "Is she alright? Do you need my help?" I glanced back at her before looking back at him. "She will be fine. I have everything under control. Your date is waiting for you impatiently, if I may add." I said as I caught a glimpse of her looking at him and then her watch. He looks back towards her before turning back to face me. "Yeah, I got to say she is really nice but she is very impatient. She is also very rough and demanding." I chuckle lowly and he frowns. "Sorry but that is kind of funny. Analisa says that the girl you are hanging out with is better than her and is different. I can say she was right about the different part, but doubt the better part." He smiled lovingly, looking past me at Analisa. "Babygirl is special. She just doesn't know it. No one will ever amount to her." "Yeah, your right, but why didn't you fight harder for her or stop this wedding?"
"You want the truth?" I nodded and waited for him to continue. "I love her so much that it physically hurts to be away from her, but I also know I do not deserve her. I always held her back. She just never noticed or didn't want to accept that fact. And because of this love I have for her, I owe it to her to allow her to find someone who is a better match for her. She needs someone who is going to make her stronger by telling her like it is, but will also protect her because she is too kind at times. She made me better in ways I never thought a person could, but sadly, I didn't do the same for her. I mean I owe all my achievements to her, including every one of my modeling contracts and my current tech job."
"Yeah, that is a good reason, but your cousin is not better for her. Now I would love to stay and chat and this may sound rude, but I have to get out of here before your cousin comes back. So, see you around."
