Katie put on her hat and then stepped to the sink to finish her hygiene off by brushing her teeth and rinsing out her mouth. She was given baking soda and peroxide to do that every morning. Just enough to make a paste and a mouth rinse. When she was done Warden Oliver introduced her to Clementine. Her new morning guard. Her name badge read 'LACEY' but Katie didn't make a comment on that. She figured they had their reasons and they weren't any of her business.
"Good morning, Inmate Quinn." The stoic young woman nodded curtly. She looked to be about ten years younger than Katie, probably fresh out of college and the academy.
