Chapter Twenty-Seven A balmy breeze blows across Magnolia Street, rustling the glossy, leathery leaves of the trees that give the street its name. The banner stretched across the street between two lanterns flaps above my head as if dancing to the music blaring through the large speakers. Merchant booths line the sidewalks on both sides of the street as crowds sample merchant wares at the Old Sixth Ward District Initiative.
