“Christmas…” Luca mused to Charlotte once they were gone. “That was a good one, don’t you think?”
"Luca…" Charlotte sighed. “She didn’t seem very happy about it. It was my mistake to bring it up — I should apologize to her later.”
“Why apologize? You didn’t say anything untrue,” he replied, dismissively.
“I still think it’s not right to comment on someone’s personal matters when you don’t know them. I got carried away and made her feel bad.”
Luca thought Charlotte was overreacting. It wasn’t her fault that the intern happened to be named after Christmas. He wasn’t about to argue over something so trivial. He simply shrugged and waited, watching her finish up her work with quiet patience.
