She was asleep before the maid left the room and, although she had the idea that later some supper was brought, she just turned away and went on sleeping. It was, however, very different the next morning when Rocana awoke. She knew it would be expected of her to ring the bell for a maid instead of jumping out of bed and pulling back her own curtains.
