“No, we're not,” Bella replied without a second thought. “I mean not too soon, right?” She clarified, that they might misinterpret what she meant by that.
“I-I got promoted,” Bella announced to end their wild guesses.
“Way to climb that corporate ladder!” Kara held Bella’s hand as they were seated away from each other.
“Thank you,” Bella replied shyly. She felt a little embarrassed now that she finally said it.
“Wow! Congratulations Bella! I know you’ll make it,” Kent cheered Bella. He was proud of her.
