Charles found himself in hot water over Bella’s words. She may not say it directly, but one thing he was sure of was that Bella had a bone to pick with him.
“Was it fun seeing me falling with your lies?” Bella asked. She was reminded of what she heard back from the chairman’s office. “I came with you because I thought I could count on you, but I think I was wrong.
