Bella had been thinking about how she and Charles would react if they crossed paths. She knew their relationship hadn’t ended officially and she was partly to blame. Bella knew how much it hurt to be in a hanging relationship as she had experienced when Greg left her without any words.
Their eyes met. Bella was certain about it yet Charles acted as if he didn’t know her at all. And honestly, Bella was hurt. She would rather be blamed for her actions and accept hurtful words from him than be ignored like that.
