Aside from the longanisa which was made personally by Catherine, Kara’s mom and dad also bought Basi wine, and rice coffee which they recently discovered as a healthier version of coffee, chicha corn, bagnet and some handwoven blankets.
“Aren’t you staying longer?” Lolita asked. She had been fond of Kara’s mom.
“As much as we wanted, we have been away from home way too long,” Rachel said, arranging the things they would be taking home. “I am afraid we couldn’t. The courier had contacted us about the package we’ll be receiving the day after tomorrow and no one would take it,” she explained.
“I would miss you,” Lolita admitted. They may have been together for a week, but the friendship they had created was noteworthy.
