Harper's POV Theo is behind me now, close enough that I can feel the heat from his body against my back. He doesn’t touch me, but the air between us feels charged, almost humming with expectation. “Be a good girl,” he says softly, his voice right by my ear. “Walk into the house. Please. Don’t make me carry you and risk getting in trouble. I was very specifically told to respect your physical space.” The way he says it, calm and unbothered, like this is all perfectly reasonable, only makes me more aware of how fast my heart is beating.
