Harper's POV “No—” The word tears from my throat as I start to scramble upright, shaking so hard I can barely get my feet under me. The panic is deafening, irrational but all-consuming. I need to get to it. I need to stop them. “Slow down, baby girl,” Theo’s voice is soft beside me, calm and familiar, but his arms close around me too fast, too tight. I’m still too deep in subspace to reason with anything but instinct, and instinct screams run. “Let me go!” I shout, pushing at his arms, thrashing as best I can. I don’t want him to hold me down.
