Chapter Twenty-One
Sharon was standing eagerly to greet Willa and Norm when they entered the house. Norm set down his briefcase, and Sharon handed the baby to him.
“So this is JJ!” Norm exclaimed as he hefted the kid. “The new king of the house!”
Sid entered from the kitchen and said, “Aren’t you the cutie.”
From his sight line, he could have been looking at either the boy or his mother. He caught Willa’s accusatory glance as he moved past Sharon to grab JJ from Norm.
“I meant the baby,” he said.
“You stay away from her,” Willa told him quietly.

“What you think I think you are,” Willa said.
