Chapter Nine At Hopewell’s Appliance, not surprisingly, the morning had not been busy. After Bobbi was sure that Buzz had at least one cup of coffee with extra sugar in him (her best guarantee he would be able to pay attention to her), she was intending to engage him on the topic of possibly taking a short trip with her between Christmas and New Year’s. She had yet to begin her pitch when they heard the jangle of bells signaling that a customer had entered the store. And then here catching her breath as she faced them was Willa, who with a mother’s uncanny telepathic sense, was about to ruin Bobbi’s plans. “Buzz,” Willa said, naming him and anointing him in the same breath. “Missus Nawicki,” Buzz acknowledged pleasantly, still sleepy. “Will your children be with you for the holidays?”
