I couldn’t sleep that night. I kept thinking about the new teacher, consumed by the mystery that surrounded her. The Oath of Silence, the way she approached me, how she held herself. She had a certain air of serenity to her, a calm in the storm. My thoughts were consumed by the way she communicated, by simply moving her hands. Words hidden in the flick of a wrist or an elegant gesture. How did they understand each other? I wanted to know more about her, about the Banshees, but I knew I couldn’t.
