As Megan expected, the car behind her kept the same distance between them, until she pulled in front of the emergency parking spots at the police station. As the car kept moving past her, she saw the man driving had enough forethought to avert his head preventing her from seeing his face, but she got a clear view of the license plate and grabbing a pad of paper and pen from the glove compartment, wrote it down before she forgot it. She also added the make and color of the car to the paper. She intended to hand-deliver it to the front desk.
