When Evangeline left the restroom, she stared at the paintings and picture frames hanging on the wall in the hallway first. She was particularly fond of a picture where a toddler, Benjamin, and his father are. Evie looked at the smiling look of that boy in wonder and stayed for a few seconds before looking at an adult Benjamin. In that photo, he was wearing a black suit with such a gloomy look on his face, but it couldn't lessen his handsome face.
"He wasn't as snobbish when he was little." Max's voice behind her startled her, and she whipped her head to look at him in surprise.
