Hayley drew the bow, waiting as Lily watched her. She let loose and the arrow flew out over the water to splash in the middle of the river. Lily dove under the waves and the ranger waited patiently as her diminutive friend swam beneath the surface. A moment later she emerged, the arrow held in her hand, and then began madly swimming back toward the shore. Hayley laughed and turned to where Aubrey was sitting on the grass.
