Sander's PoV
What am I doing here? What's the deal with feeling like I'm in a cave? I stood up and rolled my eyes when I noticed Avery with plant roots wrapped around her.
"Avery!" I yelled and approached Avery after removing the clinging veins, but it became even tighter.
"What the heck is going on?! Why I can't remove it?!" I screamed and attempted to remove it, but a sharp object protruded and injured me.
I sat down and looked at my bloodied hand, and when I looked at Avery, who had blood on her chest, Avery's eyes widened, and she looked at me.
"Sander," Avery said softly, and I stood up. I was about to approach, but I couldn't move quickly from where I was.
"Avery! Avery!" I scream, but I can't get away from whoever is preventing me from approaching her.
