I saw Varun, Miya, and Magnus join Lucas in a line. I looked at Varun with a heavy heart, thinking about how my own brother could do this to me.
I went near Varun, and he looked at me as I approached him. “I’m... I’m sorry, Aadhi,” he said, and I couldn’t believe he was simply apologizing.
“Varun, don’t you know how I dreamt about my marriage and my husband?” I asked him, and he looked down.
I know that for billionaires, marriage is just a plaything, but it’s not for me. I wanted to marry a man I fell in love with to the core, and I wanted to marry that man in India with all the rituals and blessings from God. I wanted to celebrate my marriage for more than a month and have a beautiful family from that marriage, but now I’m married just by signing some papers.
