The two friends lay on their backs on their beds. Noah's face looked cheerful as he stared at the ceiling of his room.
"Noah, how are you doing with that girl? What's her name?"
"Lana." Noah's face broke into a smile.
Daniel, who saw this, felt strange about his friend. "What's wrong with you? Why do you look so happy? Are you in love with her?"
"Don't be so presumptuous. What is love?" Noah now lay with his back to Daniel.
"Noah, tell me, what did you say to her earlier?" Daniel pulled Noah's shirt to get him to turn toward him, but Noah refused, choosing instead to pretend to be asleep.
