RavenWood Academy -
Demon/Autumn Dorms
[15th August 13:05]
Akashis p.o.v
Akashi could only grunt as he woke up from his deep sleep, and left behind a dream about Ruki being in trouble, but everything beyond that was foggy. A mist that conjured up a tornado and whenever he tried to think hard about it, his head began to throb as he pushed further to know what happened. But to his dismay, he had no such luck.
"Raspberry!" a familiar blonde screamed, not to be annoying, but more because he was worried. While Akashi slept Ruki had done nothing but twiddle his thumbs and stare at the red head as he slept. Further more, the appearance of a Shapeshifter who had been suspended temporarily due to being the one behind a violent attack on Demons, had been reported back on the academy grounds.
That Shapeshifter was nothing but bad news, with all of his antics and intelligence he had even managed to corner Takeshi of all people. The timing of the appearance couldn't be ignored. He showed up right as a powerful demon that Takeshi called the Prince of hell showed his true colors, could it have truly been a coincidence? To the Dorm leaders And Ruki who had suffered greatly from the dangerous shifter, not at all. With the shifter back in town and the true character of Akashi being revealed, it meant only one thing could be in store for the academy. War.
"Ruki?... What time is it?" Akashi whined, laying back down as soon as he sat up. He snuggled his head into the pillow which seemed to completely absorb all of the constant throbbing and migraines akashi had been dealing with from the moment he woke up. Even if it was only for a few seconds, Akashi was glad.
"That doesn't matter right now, how are you feeling? Sick? Any headaches? Pains?" Rukis worry didn't cease as he kneeled down by Akashi's bedside. In fact, his worry only seemed to grow. Akashi grew worried himself, due to the sudden seriousness of the blonde who, the whole time Akashi had been friends with him, had been nothing but a bright boy with a bubbly and excited personality and attitude toward everything.
"I'm fine... I only had a dream about you being hurt-"
"Raspberry, that wasn't a dream. That was real, you jumped in and took them all down and then passed out just after" Ruki explained, holding on tightly to Akashis hand, and putting it to his forehead. "You passed out and worried us all, the twins played hell with those damn assholes, and Takeshi immediately brought you here while Haruka checked if I had any injuries, for the record, I only have one"
Akashi heard a small chuckled after Ruki had said his last sentence. 'How can he be so positive after that...' he wondered to himself. If it was only a few people, akashi would be able understand, but that was a group of tall, muscular boys who were out for blood, and Ruki was their target. The only conclusion Akashi could reach, was the fact that it wasn't the first time it'd happened to his poor roommate.
"I'm glad you're alright, flower boy" Was all Akashi could mumble out, with the furrowing of his eyebrows and pursed lips. The hand that wasn't held By Ruki clenched in anger, sharp nails digging into his skin and drawing blood, teeth gritting, He promised himself he'd destroy them all one day. They can consider it Karma, for Injuring Ruki nevermind even thinking about it.
"Hey! I heard from Takeshi about the location of you father, he can't come visit you just yet, but apparently he said he will visit as soon as he's fining cleaning up a few issues. He can't wait to see you again" Ruki gave Akashi his famous carefree toothy grin which was remotely impossible if he wasn't true to his feelings. That's how Akashi knew Ruki was fine for the time being, however he had a feeling that it was only a matter of time.
"I'm glad... Its been so long... I can't even remember what he looks like" Akashi said, telling no one in perticular. Seeing as Ruki was the only one sat in the room to listen, he patted the red haired male on the head, and weaved his fingers through the fine, soft strands of hair. Ruki knew just how akashi felt, after all he did lose his father at a young age, and with a stubborn mother who couldn't stand seeing her husbands face any longer so she threw most pictures away and locked the rest up in the attic, Ruki had no way of knowing what his father looked like.
"Well you're going to see him soon, Oh! Takeshi wanted us to meet him in the games room so let's go!" Akashi's informed Akashi in a breezy way, was it so easy to be confident but cheerful in your tone at the same time? the roommate grabbed his hand and helped him out of bed, carefully standing up and waiting for a moment, just to allow akashi to adjust. Akashi was slightly confused to why Takeshi wanted to talk to them but assumed it was important, it had to be.
The pair made their way down the hallway, making sure not to bump shoulders with anyone, in fact steering clear from anyone in general, not wanting to cause a fight which could be easily avoided, especially after the run in Ruki had with the werewolves. It was mostly Akashi being over protective but who could blame him? His friend nearly got jumped, well, he did, and he was injured in the process. It was a short while after all of the swift sauntering through halls with oak decorated walls which had random cabinets of awards and information boards, as well as the occasional window and a small shelf and a vase of flowers of small ornament decorations when Akashi and Ruki reached the game room.
It was prestigious Academy alright. No normal academy would have a game room. A game room with pool tables, multiple dart boards, comfortable couches, beanbags, game consoles and a f*****g huge TV with was just really too big. Then again, did any normal academy have inhuman people living inside the dorms of the premises?
"Hey Ruki, Demon" Takeshi greeted us, looking away from the TV which had a combat game on, and the one playing was stunningly Landon, he didn't look like the gamer type, or someone who cared for games in general but Akashi was proven wrong by the evidence in front of him, right from the TV screen to the controller on Landon hands.
"What did you need to talk about?" Ruki wondered, Dragging a black beanbag to the area where Takeshi was sitting, being careful to not get in Landons Way. Akashi was just about to ask the same question, but Ruki beat him to the punch. He too, couldn't help but wonder what Takeshi was going to tell them, it could've been anything, but saying that made Akashi's curiosity grow more and more.
"Akashi, take a seat this is important. I'm sure Ruki will know why, Kenji?"
"Right. Ruki, unsurprisingly, you've most likely caught onto the fact that a trouble maker has come back from suspension early. Coincidence or not, the point is he's back. And it's probably due to Akashi showing his true colors." the Shapeshifters Dorm leader started, sitting with his legs slightly parted, he lant forward and leaned both of his elbows on his kneecaps, entwining his fingers.
"... Just as I feared" Ruki sighed out, lifting his glasses and placing them on his head and pinching the bridge of his nose. He looked stress and it was subtle, but a small amount of fear oozed from him. Akashi placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"And why had this mysterious person--" Akashi tutted in irritation due to the fact he got cut off. Useful information wasnt something the introverted but intelligent male could do without.
"Oh? Ruki, is nice to see ya!" a random person cheered from the doorway, his hands shoved in his pockets as he trudged towards us in a tired manner. Ruki stiffened and cowered away, his hand gripped onto Akashis jacket tightly, enough to make his knuckles go white. His arms visibly trembled.
"Rentaro" Takashi growled out offensively, lunging to Rukis side immediately.
"Wha'? Just wanna say 'Ey to Our Academy fresh meat! Akashi, The names Rentaro, jus' call Ren, 'Kay?" the male character with a slight accent which made it seem like letters of the words he pronounced were missing smiled brightly. Akashi, not really knowing Rentaro enough but still wanting to be polite, smiled back and shook his hand in a friendly way.
"it's nice to meet you" Akashi beamed, noticing Rukis hand still shook as it held a handful of his jackets material. Akashi didn't know what was going on but he deeply wanted to. Was it something to do with what Takeshi and Kenji were going to tell him? He wrapped his arms around Ruki and tried to think of the best option. "Ruki, let's go to our dorm alright?"
"Y-Yeah--.." Akashi thought that Ruki sounded unsure, and he honestly didn't quite know how to handle the situation, but keeping him in the public for him to feel embarrassed when everyone stared at him judgementally. Akashi gnetslly held Rukis hand in his own, leading him down the hallway back to the Dorm room where Ruki sat on the couch, visibly exhausted and stressed. Akashi wasn't dumb, it was obvious it was something to do with Rentaro, But He couldn't wrap his head around how Rantaro could act so casual when he was the cause of a severe panic attack someone was having in front of him?
Was he good at acting? Or simply just that heartless? Too many questions weren't being answered but Akashi knew one thing, he definitely wanted to get to know Rentaro, after all, there was always a page that hadn't been read.
On that note, akashi retreated to the small kitchen which was In every Dorm, for any snacks and such when you missed the Food Hall opening times, of course, teachers didn't give a s**t what you did and there were no rules against it. Akashi opened up the fridge and rummaged through the bottom trays to find the tub of cookie dough ice cream they had started eating a few days ago.
"Here" The red head grabbed a spoon and handed the tub of ice cream to Ruki, who Started scooping out the cold snack as soon as he received it. He even stole the TV remote before Akashi could even start to reach out for it and switched it on, scrolling through the channels intently as he put on his favourite movie. "So? What happened back there?"
"Rentaro... He's dangerous." He paused for a moment before staring at akashi dead in the eye."Be Careful around him please, in fact stay away from him! Please, Akashi, for your own safety, and by God if he even starts to approach you go find Takeshi!" Ruki huffed out, There wasnt a single hint of Rukis bubbly personality to be seen, the intensity of his gaze overwhelmed akashi. He couldn't move nor respond, his words got caught up in his throat no matter how many times he went through the sentence in his head, he couldn't verbally say them. His body had shut down on him.
'so this is the true power of an experienced Demon... the intensity is unbearable, and Takeshi is stronger than Ruki?' Akashi bit his lip in hesitation before nodding his head.
"If everythings as serious as you say so, Flower, then alright" Was his simple reply. What else was there to say? Akashi sat down now to Ruki who sighed out in relief, the sigh lasted a fair few seconds before the blonde wrapped his arms tightly around Akashi, embracing him with more care or warmth then even his own mother gave him.
"Good" He muttered out softly, his voice came out smooth and tender as his hands played with Akashi's unique colored hair.
"Can we watch Blue excorsist now?" Akashi huffed like a child.
"Thats- Sure, why now"
"It's just kinda relatable y'kno?"
"Rins a mood. Kinda reminds me of you mister Knight in shining armour"
"Were polar opposites, his hair is f*****g blue, Mines red, Ruki!"
"Have a child, then they'd have purple hair!" Ruki gasped out "You're totally compatible! Red and blue makes purple, You have to marry Rin"
"Mmm... Alright then"
"Wait for real?"
"No! I'd rather marry Aomine in Kurokos Basketball!" Akashi growled out, slapping the back of Rukis head, only hard enough to cause a short temporary sting.
"Raspberry, he has blue hair too" The blonde pointed out.
"s**t. I'll marry Tendou from Haikyuu then, He's husband material, if I got to marry him, I wouldn't give a s**t about being called the Wife".
And within the whole childish argument and teasing, neither of them noticed the door open and shut with a soft click. "You two sound like you're having fun"
"Quinn, Tell me, should Raspberry marry Rin or Aomine?" Ruki tipped his head back and put his fingers on his chin in deep thought. He looked like he was going through every pro and con of both anime guys.
"Kagami" Quinn pointed out "They have matching hair, plus his build is way hotter than Tendous" Akashi scoffed at that.
"I beg to differ, Aomine would be the perfect fit for our Honey bear" Haruka faught back, Akashi let out a breath and raised his arms in the air, surrendering to the torture his three friends would up him through.
