Running around whole night burned up half distance. Mudda thought it well and decided he would take a look at the teams those were working at the last part of the first region.
The night turned in to day bringing several challenges for the players. Some of them were busy tearing up the dead or injured monsters to get the relic. Few of the teams were caught in the troubles created by the monsters.
All of them had different reasons to worry. A team was unfortunate the monster at first appeared vulnerable however during battle they get caught seriously.
The mix breed showed one after the other attack skill and turned away the attacks of the team. The mission holder and team were vexed at the monster. They wanted to defeat it at any cost yet it was stubborn. The weapons were compatible however the monster showed the extraordinary movements that destroyed the expected outcome of the attacks.
One of the team members ran to save his guts because the attack of the monster fell on the chest. The strong leg attack would have maimed the chest however the lucky guy rolled to save his life. The monster was still bent on to take his life when he ran.
The others were attacking with weapons however unable to give any notable injury. None of their attack made through the body of the monster.
The seven feet big monster along with tail ran behind the unlucky guy. There were several types of relics. The company initially provided simple relics to the newbie players. In the team of the five players the weapon types were divided so to confront the monsters of matching characteristics. Most of the monsters in the first region were similar. They use mud as base for their attack and defense however few of the mix breeds were well learned to tackle players.
The Freaks and the monsters living in the first region were quite different from other regions. The characteristics of the monsters and the Freaks changed with regard to the ether conditions. This set strict limits for players and their strategies to tackle monsters in various parts of the Skythrone continent.
The survival rate of the players was at the danger level most of the time. Only obstinate type of players could upgrade their weapon level one or two in the ten months warning period.
There were multiple challenges for the players at every step when in the field and in the branch.
The first region have normal range of monsters however it was tough for the newbie and struggling teams to make their name in the short time. Mostly the time was not restriction for them however the methods of the monsters were ever changing.
It was due to the intellect level of the monsters. They took note of the teams and how they tried to defeat in the battle in order to mimic the method for the next time. It was similar of give and take cycle.
This was the reason that only strange strategy and unexpected methods could work against monsters. Sometimes weakest monster could create big trouble for players regarding the situation.
The biggest reason could be the fact that the monster got wind of the attacker team. The monster could plan something terrible for the team and give them huge surprise of their lives.
The result of this ‘surprise’ could be dangerous for the team. If they escaped and saved their lives without big damage then they would be called luckiest to survive. In both cases it was burdensome for the mission holder to carry the mission.
It was day opening time. The monster was using tail to shuffle the mud at the players. The somewhat thick mud made them twitch. The newbies were normal humans. Even if thick mud did not give injury still they did not want to get heaped up in the mud.
Rest of players ran to attack while the monster was focusing at the single player. It was time to reap the attack. The mission holder enthusiastically rushed in order to make the first real attack however he did not know that the smart monster was not oblivious about the surroundings.
In fact it was keeping eyes and sneaking. The tail suddenly waved in the air and smashed at the head of the mission holder. The scream of the mission holder echoed. It was enough to scare others.
Mudda furrowed his brows to see how the monster was giving tough time. With this rate the team would be wiped out one by one.
He walked right in front of the monster. His burly body and the stone like expressions made the monster halt. The first thing which the monster noticed was none other but the weapon. It was normal for any monster to take note of the weapon of the player first in order to plan how to tackle.
But here level twenty weapon was shining bluntly as if annoyed the monster twitched. It was not common that stronger players came to bully low level monsters.
Indeed the monster took it as bully. Mudda sighed. It was against his rules to bully monsters of lower level however he was here to take the player with him alive not dead. In the files the description of the specific player caught his attention. Mudda found about the player and his present location for the mission. This player was warned once for his rude behavior against Kara.
Mudda was shocked that some low level player has guts to speak in front of Kara. This caught his interest.
Mudda could overlook this annoyance of the monster for the sake of player. The player also stopped because he never heard that stronger players ever helped some low level team for no reason. Well no one can discuss the rarity of this happening. It was natural for the stronger players to stay away from low level regions.
“Walk away from the monster. Let me finish it.” Mudda gestured the player to walk behind him. The player was shocked however he listened the stronger player as if he was ordering him.
The rest of players saw the mission holder in terrible condition. They hurried to help him since now that the stronger player wanted to finish the monster.
They almost dragged the mission holder away. The monster kept the look of disapproval. There was nothing else that it could do against stronger player other than pleading. But from the stone expressions of the stronger player it was apparent for monster that the pleading might not work. Also the harsh words would not bear fruit.
There was no competition between level two and level twenty. When Mudda noticed that team members created safe distance, he jumped and attacked. The attack of the level twenty weapon could freeze the feet on the ground. The monster was unable to protest. If it was given chance it would have shouted vulgarities at whatever branch the player belonged to.
All players abide by conventional rules which were not part of the documents. Well for Mudda rules were nothing at some point of missions. He was known for his unruly nature.
No one could predict whether he would apply any rule at the particular situations or the self-made clauses would surprise the listeners. The monsters were gutsy because they knew that most players do not cross set limits however Mudda was exception.
The monster could not scream for help. It fell dead. The difference was huge. Even the weapon did not get tainted with blood of the monster. The power of the weapon relic killed the monster suddenly.
The relics of the weapon could feel the energy of the opponent and work according to it. The relics were considering breathing part of the monsters of all levels. These relics get attached with the weapons of the player once activated and spend rest of the life with the weapon and the weapon master.
There was another condition. Once the relic retired the master could throw it off and attach new relic with better level efficiency. It was during the progress of the player and the hunting of the missions. Only the player could keep balance between the personal progress and the availability of the new better level relic.
It was more than type of responsibility for the player if he wanted to keep the progress or else it would stop at some point.
This was part of player’s effective disposition. As long as the players could maintain their true disposition they would be taken as the backbone of the company.
Mudda looked at the rest of players so they could get the relic with ease. He was not here to snatch the mission. They held their breaths and after confirmation they filled their lungs to get enough air freely. The senior player was not here for the relic of the monster they could rest easy.
Mudda then turned to see the player whom he wanted to meet personally. “Your name is Hellhorn?” Mudda asked.
The player rose up his brows because he was not actually popular in the branch. Mostly the players keep distance from him as if he was some snake. Hellhorn knew the reason for this indifferent attitude of others however he did not want to bring it to discussion because it would spoil his career.
Kara did not kick him out of the branch for unknown reason and Hellhorn did not want to remind him the quarrel day. When Mudda called him from his name it was more than shocking however he did not show up his expressions openly.
“I am Hellhorn. Does this senior has something to say?” he did not know head or tail of the matter so he was careful.
“I wanted to know whether you owe anything to this mission holder or not?” Mudda pointed toward the guy who was trying to rip apart the monster and get the relic.
Well it was normal. The less experienced players take oath with regular mission holders to stay in their teams for certain limit of time in order to earn their trust.
In that case Mudda would not be able to take the player with him without the permission of mission holder.
“No, I did not take oath. I have yet to consider it.” Hellhorn blinked and answered. He did not want to become worse than slave by taking the oath. However in case the mission holder insisted he would be forced to take burden.
“This is great. Do you want to venture with me? I am on a sudden mission. It would be tough but you will be able to meet the true adventure in the forest. If you are man of risk taking then you can join. The choice is yours.” Mudda did not beat about the bush.
In his eyes the sweeter words could not deny the reality of danger. Hellhorn was only level two. It was huge difference. There could be life threats at each step in the forest.
“For me today or tomorrow is the same but I cannot delay the chance for tomorrow. I will venture with you.” Hellhorn took few seconds to decide the hardest decision of his life. He was not overlooking the dangers. In fact he could assume his miserable death in case the senior player went back on his words.
“Glad you did not take much time. We can move now.” Mudda gestured him while sneaking the left side of the forest. He could feel few eyes noting down his actions.
It was true, the level seven player was given the duty to strictly chase behind Mudda and provide information about his every step.
When Mudda took Hellhorn with him the player sent someone to inform Kara. It was strange because first of all Hellhorn was not suitable for deadly mission, secondly why Mudda personally this specific player. Well Kara immediately understood the reason behind this choice.
He was convulsing with hatred now. In his eyes Mudda wanted to gather the likeminded players in his team rather than making a team for the mission.
