The Game We Play
Andrew’s POV
The world was built on power. That's what I have been taught, Not love. Not trust. Not foolish notions of morality. Power.
And that was what had made me who I am now.
And power was something I never gave away freely.
Despite the fact that I haven't always been like that, as they say “situations change people”.
I stood in the dimly lit study of my penthouse, the amber glow from the fireplace casting flickering shadows across the room. A glass of whiskey rested in my hand, but I wasn’t drinking, my mind was so full.
I was thinking.
Planning.
Controlling.
