Catherine called me the next afternoon while I was at my office.
"I found something," she said, and I could hear the excitement in her voice. "It wasn't easy Elijah Brooke is very good at hiding his tracks, but I found a pattern."
"What kind of pattern?" I asked, my heart racing.
"For the past three months, there have been regular payments going to a property management company called Rosewood Holdings. Five thousand dollars a month. Always on the first of the month."
