Monday morning, oh god how I always hated the mornings.
I groaned shutting off the alarm and turning towards the sleeping Reina. "Come on. I'll take the hallway shower."
She glared at me before nodding, and taking her time to get up. Exiting my room I let out a surprised squeal when I tripped over not something but someone, "Holy s**t!"
Thankfully I didn't land on my face, "What the fu- Luke?"
I didn't say anything else, I just went into the bathroom locking the door this time. I couldn't deal with this right now, it's mine and Reina's first day back.
Getting out of the shower quickly, I walked back into my room and shook my head tiredly at Luke who was sitting on my bed.
Why won't he just leave?
Going into the closet, I smiled at Reina who was searching through my clothes. We decided against matching, because we used to do that a lot.
Quickly getting dressed, I slipped on my pair of black jeans with slits at the knees before grabbing a burgundy sweater crop top and slipping it on.
I slipped on my ankle heeled boots before looking at myself in the mirror as I brushed through my wet hair.
My stomach was sort of showing but I was okay with that now since my scars on my stomach had healed and I wasn't ashamed of them.
Reina chose a pair of light wash high waisted shorts with a light pink loose top. She paired it with a pair of my floral toms.
We both left our hair to dry naturally, before we walked out to see Luke was still sitting there.
Reina and I shared a look before walking out of the room. Luke grabbed my forearm when I was halfway out the door and "accidentally" I turned around and punched him in the gut.
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to do that." Well of course I did but oh well, I'd never tell him that.
"Just let me explain, please Val?" I shook my head, letting out a huff. "I don't care Luke. If it's one thing I learned then it's blood runs thicker than water and even if Reina isn't blood she hasn't lied to my face."
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Val I-"
I stopped him, not wanting to hear it. "Look I'm going to be late."
And with that I met Reina downstairs who was waiting with two apples in her hand.
"Apples Reina?" I questioned raising an eyebrow at her.
It took her a moment but she caught on eventually. "Oh my god! No!"
Don't worry it's an inside joke.
Grabbing my keys, Reina and I got into my car not bothering to make sure that Luke officially left.
Reaching the school, I parked where I normally would and people began to turn their heads in our direction.
Taking a deep breath, Reina and I got out and literally I swear guys were catching flies.
Linking our arms together, we began walking to the office. "We're here for our schedules."
They lady at the office looked up and smiled. "Names?"
I returned the smile, "Valerie Costalona and Reina Montgomery."
Rummaging through the papers she smiled when she found them. "Here you go and welcome back Val."
I smiled at her, "It's good to be back Mel."
Melanie and I, were close kind of. She would help me with and wounds Lydia would give me. She's great honestly.
We walked out comparing our schedules and thanks to my dad, he managed to get us the same classes.
Although her locker was on the third floor and mine was on the second. So you already know what we decided, yep we're sharing.
We decided against using the locker right now, and walked to class ignoring the comments that were made.
"Damn who's that?"
"Is that Valerie? Damn, I'd hit that."
"Who does she think she is?"
"She's nothing but a slut." I knew that voice anywhere.
"Come on babe don't be like that." Then I heard his voice.
Luke.
He just called Lydia babe. Ew.
I stopped walking, "No babe, she isn't worth it." Reina told me but I didn't listen.
"I'm sorry what Lydia? I didn't hear you?" She looked at me surprised, unable to say anything.
"Val, back down." I couldn't help but smile at the voice. "Xavier!" I ran to him and he spun me around as I hugged him.
Right now back to the b***h.
We walked back towards Lydia. "I asked you something. Could you please repeat yourself? I didn't hear you."
When she didn't speak up, Reina decided to comment. "No please speak up."
"I said, you're nothing but a slut." She had a smirk on her face like she expected me to cry but I wasn't going to let her think she still had power over me.
I laughed walking towards her until I was close enough to whisper in her ear. "How's your fathers business by the way? Oh and not the company."
I backed up, smiling in satisfaction when she had a face of pure horror that I knew her families secret.
Which was that her father was sent to court on charges of paying his employees to sell drugs on the side. So my dad was the one who prosecuted him.
Before she could say anything, Xavier dragged Reina and I away. Which is rude because I wanted to hear what she had to say.
Anyways we headed to where our homeroom was, and I willed myself not to do anything later.
Looking at Xavier's schedule I smiled realizing we have the same classes too but frowned when that meant that so did Luke most likely, great.
We waited for class to start seeing as we came ten minutes early. Reina and Xavier were talking with one another while I was drawing in my sketch book.
Reina and I want to get a tattoo, but she would only get one with me if I designed it. We're scared yes, but Zav swears that it doesn't hurt.
Xavier got one but he'd never tell me where exactly.
"I'd like to find out where." Reina whispered, unaware that she said it aloud.
I gaped at her, my mouth falling open. "Reina!" Her eyes widened as she looked at me, "Did I say that out loud?"
I nodded and we burst into a fit of laughter well until the bell rang and in walked the teacher.
Oh god, she's going to make up introduce ourselves. I just know it.
"Welcome to homeroom, now before we start why don't we introduce the new students." Not really having a choice, the three of us went up to the front of the room.
"I'm Valerie."
"Xavier."
"And I'm Reina."
We kind of stood there waiting to be able to sit back down, but sadly someone raised their hand and I immediately knew who it was.
Lydia's minion, or well one of them. "Yes Sophia?" If her personality wasn't so ugly then maybe she'd be pretty.
"Aren't you the Valerie that ran away, because she couldn't stick up for herself?" She had a smirk on her face but it was soon wiped off as I began laughing.
"I'm sorry, who are you to talk? I remember during freshman year you would run to the girls room crying just because a boy called your glasses weird." I'll admit that was rude but I didn't care about her.
"Well at least I can fight my own fights." She shot back making me glare at her annoyed.
"You want to start a fight? f*****g come at me and I promise I'll be the one ending it." Her eyes widened and she said nothing.
"Alright, alright enough. Have a seat." The teacher yelled out but she sent me a wink which made me smile.
Sitting back down, I rested my head on Reina's shoulder waiting for the teacher to begin.
"Alright, we'll continue where we left off."
