THE NIGHT EVERYTHING TITLED.EP-4

319 Words
A week later, Adrian invited Rose to his new apartment — a modern place overlooking the river. He cooked her dinner. He poured her wine. He apologized again for the secrecy. And then he said something she didn’t expect: “I want us to move forward. Together. Not just dating… but building something real.” Her heart fluttered. “You mean…?” He stepped closer, eyes warm and steady. “Not a proposal. Not yet. But… stay with me tonight. Not just for the night — stay with me more. Be part of my space. My life.” Rose touched his face gently. “I already am.” The tension shifted into something slow and deep, magnetic as gravity. They moved toward each other, their breaths mixing. His hands slid down her back; her fingers curled into his shirt. The world swayed around them. The city outside glowed like a witness to something meant to happen. And then— Fade to black. Their laughter, their whispers, their closeness filled the night until dawn softened the sky. Months later, Rose woke up in Adrian’s arms, sunlight falling across both their faces. She felt safe. Certain. Until his phone buzzed. He checked it. His expression changed. “What is it?” she asked, sitting up. Adrian hesitated, swallowing hard. “It’s… another offer.” Rose’s chest tightened. “Overseas?” He nodded slowly. “It’s the biggest one yet. Career-changing. And they want an answer… fast.” She stared at him, heart twisting. “Adrian… what do you want?” He took her hands, his eyes fierce and full of emotion. “I want you. But I also want this.” Rose whispered, “Then we’ll have to choose. Together.” He framed her face gently. “No matter what happens, Rose… I’m not losing you again.” But the phone buzzed again. A reminder. An opportunity. A threat. A choice.
