Chapter 37

2047 Words

Ainslee's POV Aiden and I chased Brent down the alley. Aiden cast his smoke but missed Brent by inches. As we followed Brent out of the alley, we caught the scent of many humans. "The Farm Festival." I said blankly, realization hitting me. Every year, Jackson Hole has a big festival celebrating cattle farmers. It is a huge event that draws thousands. Tonight hundreds of cowboys are on a bar crawl. Since Brent is now a human, we won't be able to spot or smell him unless we get very lucky. "I need to shift and fly over and see if I can locate him! I don't want you wandering around those cowboys, so stay hidden in the alley over by the bar door. I'll try and locate him and come right back to you." Aiden kissed me fast and flew off. I did as he asked, hoping and praying I wouldn't be seen.
