We picked up Aiden and Ainslee at Midnight Moon and drove back to Blue River, exchanging the information we learned. To say how shocked I am to learn Brent's psychosis started in childhood would be the understatement of the century. I prayed a silent thanks to the human Lord and Savior for sparing Tessa from Brent. The rejection probably saved her life.
"I see now why I wasn't too much of a mess when he rejected me. Back then I had so much more to worry about with Honi and trying to stay ahead of him, but I think somewhere subconsciously I saw Brent for what he really is." Tessa murmured, staring out the window into the night.
"Who is his mother?" I asked Aiden.
"Ruby wrote her information down on a piece of paper. It's a Maria Ramsay of the Red River Pack in Great Falls
