CHAPTER - 7

BELLA

Mom, if we had super powers to go anywhere we want, where would you like to go to?"

"Umm.... The stars!"

"Which star mom?" that little 5 years old girl pointed to the night sky.

"I guess... That one!" Her mom pointed to the star at the very right corner of the night sky excitedly. "Now tell me which star do you wanna go to?" Her mom asked as she ran her hand softly through her five years old daughter's hair.

"I wanted to go to that one." She replied as she pointed at the left corner of the sky.

"Wanted? Don't you wanna go now?" Her mom asked as she looked at her daughter raising eyebrows.

"No. Not anymore. I want to go to your star now." The five years old daughter replied.

"Why mine?"

"Because I want to go to wherever you go, with you. I will not leave you alone mom," the little girl maned to reply, looking at her mom. "I'm scared to leave you alone mom." Her voice cracked as she remembered what her mom had to go through every night.

"I'll not leave you too my love. I love you, so much.." her mom hugged her small body tightly.

"I love you too mom! Wait, I've something for you." Saying that she quickly turned around and ran towards the flower pot. Grabbing a flower, she turned around to look at her mom.

And suddenly everything went dark. There was no light around, she couldn't feel her mom's warmth around anymore. Only darkness surrounding the little girl from everywhere. "Mom!" The little girl cried out through her tears. "Where are you? Please come back!" She screamed.

That's when she heard some noise coming near her. She recognized them, as she heard those noises almost every night. A man, ruthless man laughing as she could hear a woman's cry from afar. That woman was her mother. She was begging for her life.

"Mom! I'm scared...p-please come back.. I'll n-never leave you..I p-promise.." she managed to say through her cries. Suddenly, the sobbing stopped. Everything became silent.

She kept looking around to search for anything that could lead her to her mom, to emancipation. That's when a pair of very familiar blue eyes smoldering at a corner caught her teary brown eyes. Those eyes gave her inner peace, soothed her promiscuous mind as she tried to embrace them. She tried to smile through her sobs and run towards the source of blue light before the light abruptly vanished.

My eyes fluttered open as I sat up straight on my bed, sucking deep long breath in. My brown eyes travelled around the room to recognize the surrounding. I closed my eyes in a relief when I realised where I was.

Removing the blanket from my body, I got out of the soft bed as I slowly made my way towards the bathroom rubbing my sleepy eyes. I looked at myself through the mirror to see my tired self, messy hair, pale skin, dull brown eyes, dark circles under them as I realised this wasn't the first time I was having this kind of dreams, a reminder of my outrageous past that never seemed to leave me alone.

But something was different this time. Those pairs of blue eyes, that alleviated my mind in my nightmare before disappearing into the darkness.

Doing my morning routine, I came out of my room wearing my black maid frock, walking over to the kitchen where Sara was already organizing breakfast in a tray and other maids taking them one by one to the dining room where Mr. LaRasso was also present.

"Good morning. Sorry, I slept for so long today," I apologised as soon as I entered the kitchen and helped Sara.

"Don't worry honey. It happens and Good morning." She smiled at me before handing the last tray to Leia.

"Good morning!" Leia excitedly said before leaving the kitchen.

I smiled and looked at Sara as I started to cut veggies. Memories from last night hit my mind.

"Sara, can I ask you something?" I nervously asked.

"Yes honey, what is it? " She asked before placing a pan over the stove.

I itched my head before asking not knowing if I made any sense. "Can anyone intrude into this mansion in the middle of the night? " I asked in one breath.

Sara looked at me surprisingly before bursting out a loud laugh. "You are funny you know that?" She managed to talk between her laugh.

I frowned my eyebrows thinking what was funny about it.

"There is no way of escaping hundreds of guards around the mansion. Not even at midnight. There are CCTV cameras all around the mansion and guards keep their eyes on the monitors 24/7. This mansion is highly secured. No one enters this mansion without young Mr. LaRasso or Marco or Giovanni's permission," she said, her voice held seriousness and warning.

My eyebrows frowned in confusion. Then who was the blue-eyed man last night? How did he escape those guards?

I was about to ask Sara about the man when Leia came running into the kitchen. Her eyes held fear as she breathed heavily.

"Mr. knight has requested Bella's presence. Now!"

My eyes widened as I looked up at Sara to see her eyes were as wide as mine too. We both were confused. Nodding, I quickly wiped my hand with a towel before taking a deep breath, ready to meet the king of this mansion finally. I didn't know if I was more scared than being excited. Sara patted my shoulder before giving me a nervous smile.

I walked into the dining room where three men were sitting. My eyes quickly found Giovanni's blank face as he stared at me boringly. My eyes next found the same man I was gawking at on the first day. His looks could easily make any girl go on their knees I swear.

My brown orbs slowly made their way to the man, more like a Greek god, sitting in the middle of the huge dining table. The Man was all in black. My eyes slowly went up as I saw his one finger tracing his palm bottom lip lightly, a devilish smirk was clear on his face as he gazed at me from head to toe. That's when my heartbeat was exhilarated. My eyes quickly snapped up to catch the same blue beautiful eyes I saw last night.

I suppose we haven't introduced ourselves properly yet. Shall we now?" He asked in a sexy tone, raising his perfectly shaped eyebrows. "I'm Alexander knight ," He said in his sexy Italian accent. Only his name gave me shiver run down my spine. His name seemed as dominant as his presence. "Though I know your name, I want to hear it from you." His smirk grew even bigger making my knees go weak.

"I-umm" what's wrong with my voice? I cleared my throat before starting, "I'm Bella Bianchi, I'm the new maid here." I said, keeping my eyes down.

"Hmm.. nice meeting you, Bella."

Okay, I never knew my name would sound this sexy.

He pointed at his right side. "This is Marco," and then pointed to his left, "and that's Giovanni. I'm sure you met him before." They both nodded at me. "You can leave now." He said as they started to have their breakfast. But His eyes didn't leave mine until I walked out of the room.

So this was Mr. knight? The most dangerous man, feared by people. And I encountered Mr. knight, the king himself, last night? Why didn't he tell me? His behavior made me really confused.

Wait- I also threatened him last night, didn't I? s**t! Now What if he throws me out of this mansion? God! How could I be this stupid? I needed this job! I needed money!

I was so deeply in my thoughts, washing the dishes while the memories of meeting Mr. knight was playing in my mind that I didn't realize someone was standing behind me until I heard his voice.

"Hey.." his breathed near my ear that gave the shiver run down my spine. I could feel his hard chest on my back lightly.

"So you know me now, Bella."

I quickly turned around to see his devilish smirk just inches away from me.

My hands trembled at either sides as my lips went dry at the close proximity. I licked my dry lips. His eyes became dark as his blue orbs followed my tongue licking my lips, before he licked his in a sensual way. I felt like I would fall on the floor if this wasn't for the counter behind me.

I didn't know what was happening but I felt so warm under his strong gaze just like my nightmare when this exact same blue eyes soothed me.

Suddenly he took a few steps away from me as if to remember something. I immediately missed his warmth against my body.

He quickly turned around to leave the kitchen.

"Marco, show Bella her new room."

That's when I noticed Marco entering the kitchen.

"New room?"
