Chapter 4: Confused State: George’s Pov

Sophia was looking at us,she was wondering why those people were beside me and what they were looking for in the office.
"Sophia, these are the newly employed staff members,they would take over from Olivia and Jessica." I said.
"Alright sir, you are all welcome. My name is Sophia Park, I'm the boss's secretary." Sophia responded politely.
They all exchanged pleasantries, I told Sophia to show them everywhere in the office as I walked towards my office and slammed the door.
"She is such a wonderful lady, very polite, beautiful and hard-working. I must have hurt the innocent lady." I said to myself while sitting on my chair.
I never knew she was smart enough to rectify the jammed CCTV cameras. Sophia is amazing.
"Why am I thinking of her so much? I'm i developing feelings? No! Maybe because I'm just sober after hurting her.
I had a meeting with all members of the staff as I read out the company's policies again for the sake of the new staff members.
After the meeting,it was time for everyone to go home and Sophia was about to leave as I called her back.
"Are you going home already?" I asked.
"Yes sir, I need to hurry so I can meet up with the bus." She replied.
"What about your car?"
"It's faulty so I didn't come with it." Sophia said
"In that case,let me drop you off." I told her
"No sir, I'm fine." Sophia declined.
I insisted on dropping her home as she finally accepted the offer.
I packed my documents,locked the office and got into the car.
I was happy that I'm finally getting along with Sophia.
I remembered that I had to pick up a file at my place and drop it at a friend's place. I had to go home first before dropping Sophia.
"Sophia, I'm so sorry, I just remembered that I have to pick up some documents at home. Let's go together. Immediately after I pick up my documents, I will drop you off. It's's an avenue for you to know my house anyway. I said smiling
"I.. I don't want to get home late, sir" she said.
"I promise I won't take your time,it's just to pick a document, that's all."
"Okay sir."
Everywhere was silent as I drove towards my house in solemn music playing in my car.
I finally got to my house, I honked severely, and the gatekeeper came to open the gate.
The gatekeeper greeted us and carried my luggage inside.
I collected it and told him to go as I closed the door behind me.
"Sophia please have your seat and feel at home." I told her.
I quickly ran upstairs to pick up my documents, I went to the bathroom, took my shower and changed my clothes into something casual.
Unknowing to me, time had really gone. By the time I came downstairs, Sophia had slept off after waiting tirelessly.
"Sophia, Sophia! Sophia! I called her. There was no response not until I tapped her then she jumped out of sleep.
"I'm sorry for keeping you waiting, you slept off already." I said.
"It's fine sir, can we go now?" Sophia asked.
"Yes, sure," I responded.
As she was about to leave, Sophia's leg hit the chair and she almost fell down as I held her tightly, looking at her eyeballs.
Her eyes bulged open,a loud pound could be heard from my chest.
I didn't say anything. My eyes moved to her lips, I couldn't imagine it was what I was thinking. She isn't planning on kissing me,is she?
She tried to pull back, but I put my cold hands on her cheeks. A cold feeling ran through my veins, causing me to shiver. My breath seized for a second, I exhaled slowly as if my nostrils were thin enough to let the air leave freely out of my lungs.
My hand moved to her jaw, slightly raising it up. For the first time I was staring so close, I never had the chance to look into them until now.
"Please...don't let tonight go. I don't want to remain like this." I said driven by my emotions.
She looked deep into my eyes. "Boss…wh…at…is…"
I cut in sharply, "Please…don't say no. I want you now. Please don't go away."
I…I….ehm…..
I leaned her face closer to mine,I could feel her lips pressed on mine as I gently kissed her lips.
"Stop it, I don't want to do this!" she pushed me away. I moved closer to her and pulled her closer by kissing her again.
She didn't want to return the kiss, but as my lips grabbed hers, her body responded instantly as she kissed back. Slowly, passionately with satisfaction.
I closed my eyes as I continued kissing Sophia. The atmosphere was tense and solemn. She smelled very nice which aroused me the more, I then pulled off my clothes, ready for s*x.

We were about having s*x when she said. "Leave me alone! I don't want to do this, just stop it." As she suddenly pushed me away.
I felt embarrassed and let her be, as I quickly put on more clothes and kept my distance away from her. She was silent and went to sit alone, frowning in her face.
I couldn't utter a word because I felt that I had committed a mistake, everywhere was silent and we didn't say anything to each other.
After the night with Sophia, I decided to keep the incident a secret to myself. I woke up early so she won't find me laying next to her.
I couldn't stop thinking about Sophia. What would the staff members think if they knew we kissed? They'll think I had a motive from the start.
I went to check Sophia in the morning and I couldn't find her, she had packed her bag and left without any notice.
"What could be going on in her mind? Where did she go? I said to myself in curiosity.
