“Don’t worry, we changed the wig glue,” Anne Marie said reassuringly as she painted a clear goopy substance around Grace’s natural hairline.
“You did? I didn’t think the wig glue was the problem.”
Anne Marie avoided looking her in the eye as she explained, “It wasn’t. We’ve used that glue with you for years and years. But your friend was pretty insistent so we changed it just to be sure.”
