CHAPTER 60
Zac crouched down behind the couch in the dark. Rigby on one side of him, Indigo Lee on the other. Massively confused at Indigo’s presence at Grace’s surprise party, Zac hadn’t had any time to find out why before the order had come for everyone to hide in the dark.
Grace had arrived and they all knew the assignment. Wait until she had walked in and the lights came on, then jump up and yell surprise.
Seemed pretty juvenile, but the anticipation was real. Nearly 80 people as far as he could tell, all adults, all relatively sane, hiding in the dark together, stifling laughter, holding their breath until the big moment. He was having more fun than he would have expected.
