CHAPTER 63 Lincoln walked through the remnants of Grace’s birthday party with a plastic garbage bag in one hand. Luke, true to form, had done a dismal job of picking up. In a way, Lincoln was glad. Crumpled wads of used napkins, cocktail plates with globs of uneaten food, empty glasses sticky with drying liquor and lipstick marks, every piece of trash he threw away or dirty dish he put on the kitchen counter made him more certain that he had made the right decision to stay away. The front door pushed open and Luke came in. He carried a garbage bag of his own. “Link,” he said, surprised to see him.
